Same female voice on message as the lower your credit card rate scammers.....

Same stuff, different day! Credit card scammers calling DAILY to tell me this is my last chance to lower my interest rates. The daily calls keep changing to all parts of the country; we just can't block them all. I have tried to stop these calls.  I pressed 1 this time and started to speak to someone and after the hello I asked to be taken off this list and the person just hung up on me.  I called back and let it ring for quit a while but no answered

They called - I didn't answer - no message left - have blocked the ENTIRE 207 AREA CODE which, in this case happens to be the ENTIRE state of Maine.

NEVER answer unknown calls and NEVER press 1 to be removed from their call list.
When you answer and press 1 (or whatever number) you confirm that you have a "live" working phone number.  A number that can be sold and used by other CRIMINAL telemarketers.

Here's a funny coincidence.  207 is not only the area code of Maine it is also the first three numbers that show up on my ID of a friend who lives in London, England.  The credit card scammer (207-358-0255) called this morning and I answered thinking it was my friend. I immediately hung up when the recorded spiel started.  Moments later I see the 207 on the ID of my other phone line and instantly hang up without saying hello sure it is the same scammer doing robo calls.  Phone rings again immediately and it is actually my friend from London calling a second time because I hung up on her first call.

Bridget who called from NJ, TX, SC, PA and who knows where else tried Portland, ME this time.
I just heard; "This is Bridget" and hung up.
These twits also come up in your ID as Consumer Services (or some representation of the word service) .

They just want to service their own pockets - don't be fooled!

This is incredible, these folks call everyday from a different number; I’m at the point I just don’t answer the phone unless I recognize the number, answering machine still not engaged so no message can be left.

Maybe not so much of a coincidence as you think as these scammers can spoof your own home phone.
If I don't recognize the number I wait for a message. I have a machine where I can here the message, so you can hear your friend start to leave a message and then pick up.

This number called my DNC listed landline today at 1314 hours.  99% of the calls I receive on my landline are scam artists.  (My cell phone has a block on it that only allows calls from people in my 'phone book' to go through otherwise 90% of those calls would be scam artists.)  I didn't bother answering this call.  After about three or four rings, it gave up.  Then I blocked the number.  Of course, they'll just spoof a new one.  May these annoying, persistent scam artists experience unending torment in the lowest levels of Hades - and sooner rather than later.

Just got called from this number,  said he was Windows Tech Dept..........When I laughed and told him he was a scammer he called me a not so nice name such as 'MF'  and hung up!

just got the call... day before was from other area code.... somedays I like to let it go thru to operator, just so I can tell them, that I am making note of their refusal to abide by the DoNotCall registry.  I then say thank you for calling tho and your name is?, .... and then I say I will be reporting you (Darlene,as ex.) and your company to my States Attorney General office with complaint... do not call again   and hang up...
all winter... credit card issues,  reduce rates , Chimney cleaning , bogus your computer is about to shut down from viruses, calling from Microsoft, etc...etc...

nomorbo.com hangs up on this number too.  Works on VOIP phone lines Free of charge.

 I went on Amazon they have one does All Call Blocking calls, for All AREA Codes, unknown calls too.  Voting,charity,robocalls,Insurances,everything.  DNC BRAND OR T-LOCK.$39.95  let us all  know,Thank's.

I too am getting many SCAM calls.  My question is why are the telephone companies doing business with these scammers.  Could it be that the phone companies are profiting from them and do not want to do anything about them.  This should be investigated but I don't know how or where to start, does anyone?

At one time you could contact you phone company and they could put some kind of a block on them. I contacted CenturyTel and was told that yes there was such a system that some companies used but that it was costly to do and they had no plans to install such a system.  I am planning to tell Century Tel what they can do with their system and go straight cell as many others are doing, any question why?

I tell them do not call me with a SURVEY!! 2 wks. ago I  had to call back my local phone Co.after I had a request for a repair, before I hung up,told the "INDIAN GUY"  NO SURVEYS!

What's scary is that they must get SOME benefit to this (successfully scamming people) to continue this lunacy. After all, it has to cost them SOMEthing.

Bridget calls from several different numbers and states - credit card rates.  Don't carry a balance forward, don't care what the rates rate.  A real nuisance.

telephone number: 207-358-0255 it is a "spoof' number registered via Google. I even used my "spoof" number on them to see if they'll answer-nope.
They are scam artist indeed.
