Had an ad craigslist to sell a truck. This number sent a text to buy, but wouldnt be able to do it in person and would use pay pal. According to the internet, this is a scam. No verbal contact. SCAM SCAM SCAM

I had a vehicle listed and got text from this number (207-370-5195), asking all the questions one would normally ask about a vehicle. the first clue I had was that my phone number was listed on the add and the person would not call. the second clue, they end their message with "regards". this was an indication the person was looking for a warm up prior to trying to pull the seller in.
3rd clue, the person was quick to respond when they were confronted with "your wasting my time", their response was that they were in our US military and were unable to look at the vehicle in person.
4th clue, person said the purchase was for a family member and that the price was great.
5th clue, I had the vehicle over priced like we all do to give room to work.

Said he was from Maryland, usa. Present for his dad...yeah, right. Are there any real buyers for vehicles?? All I've gotten were scams! Exactly how do they scam you though? Still trying to figure it all out, but I am onto this number.

I've also had an experience with this number and I'm actually still in contact with him.  Posted an add on our local news site for a PSP. He wanted me to mail it Nygeria for his son. Everytime I mentioned I would be waiting for the funds to clear on PayPal he told me I should be looking for the confirmation emails which stated the funds wouldn't be available until a tracking numer for the shipment was sent. Such B.S. I actually got him to give me his email address and I've turned everything over to PayPal. Hopefully they can stop him.
