This is the Michelle Brooks/Millard Tibbs scam. They send you emails supposedly from PayPal, but PayPal would never ask you to send money through Western Union for items you are selling. They will ask you to send $150 for shipping & it will appear that this money has gone into your account from the emails they send (not from PayPal). Unfortunately it's a bogus email & you just sent money to this [***] for no reason. Do not fall for it.

This is kinda happening to me by a michelle brooks im selling a wedding dress on criegslist and i made a paypal acccount and they are saying i need to send $500 to western union before the credit my account. Is this a scam? "Paypal" supposedly sent me an email saying they sent my info to the FBI because im not coopoerating with her. But i havent done anything because i feel that this is a scam.

Its definately a scam.  Paypal doesn't want you to use Western Union.  Paypal competes with Western Union as a way to transfer money electronically.

I did not fall for this scam!   Seller be wear received text messages from this # plus two others 612-354-6801 &
323-929-1051  My story:  these people offer to buy the item you post 4sale on internet then take you through a process of text messages. telling you will receive a check first by Fed X then by other sources, but no check comes until they are sure they have you hocked!  i.e. send a pic by email giving them you email address, I did not go for this but in the end they send you a bogus check, telling you to take to your bank at once then give you instructions to ship by their private trucking co.and pay for the cost of shipping, which they will reimburse  you for Ha Ha!!!  Don't go for it you end up losing you item and paying to ship it to them..        

everything written here is correct. I just got a text from this number. I posted on Craigslist. First off, I did not put my phone number in the add. Then once they texted me they said they were going to purchase and I needed to provide a pay Pal… I saw this in many other responses so told them I was going to report them since they are a scam..
