Age - 1 Aug 2007The girl indetified the company as "Consumer Services" and herself as Barbara Peay. (My caller I.D. said: "Out of area 1-207-412-1069") Barbara wanted to lower the intrest on all my credit cards. As long as the cards weren't overdrawn or late she said she could get my intrest reduced to around 6%. She promised it my credit rating wouldn't take a hit. I stopped when she axed me for my account number, and said I'll look into it and call her back. Dunno for sure, but I'm always suspicious.

Charlotte - 9 May 2008I just received a call from the same number. It was a recorder message that said my auto warranty was expiring and I need to renew. I pressed the selection to speak with a live agent to ask that my number be removed from the list. The agent named Frank hung-up on me.

The Wizard - 20 Nov 2007I received a called from this # (207-412-1069). It was a auto-dial and a recorded message that stated customer service wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. It did not state my name or what company. It cue to dial one if I wanted a lower rate. I hit one and a man said "Customer service may I help you". I asked what was the offer. He said "Customer service may I help you". I then said that the recorded message offered a lower rate on my credit card, but did not say from what bank. I told him I was interested in the offer, so explain away! He hung up. Ironically they choose the wrong household, my spouse and myself do not use consumer credit cards. Reading the above post it is clear to see this organization was 'phishing' for information looking for folks silly enough to give there account # to 'customer service'.

RW - 2 Aug 2007Get a call @ my residence with CID of 207-412-1069 with a pre-recorded message (that's illegal) offering to "lower my credit card rates". I punched to code to see who these idiots were; possibly a card I have. They don't represent any card I have, identified themselves as "consumer services", but hung up when I asked where they were located and whom they were hired by. I'm of course on the national "do not call" list. I'd like to find their office and beat someone's f****g skull in.

Amy - 16 May 2008I completely agree. I just got a call from the same number and didn't answer. The national do not call list is for the US i think... and cuz it's an England number i'm not sure if it works, that is unless you are in England and they have a list too. I'm on the list too and most of the calls have stopped.

My reply was remove me from your calling list and I am reporting your phone number to Do Not Call Registry. Caller hung up! Almost all of these type of calls come on Tuesday or Thursday and have their company name blocked.

Mel - 3 Aug 2007Received call from this unidentified company, telling me that the call was regarding my credit cards. They said there was no problem, but that it was time to change my interest rates and get a better deal. I pressed "2" when prompted, and was informed that my number had been removed from the list. I have since received calls from 2 other numbers-- (207) 201-4860 and (352) 680-9688. Hmmm....

DLD - 4 Aug 2007I also got the call from 207-412-1069. Three times they have called and I opted to be removed from their list the first time. Each call I received has been a recording so I can't even scream at any one. Pressing "2" to be removed hasn't done anything so far.
