I got a call from Britan's version of this number on my cell phone!  How would they even get my cell #?  It rang once and stopped, and I didn't try to call them back because I didn't know where I'd be calling.

I received a call from this number this morning, but prefixed with a England country code (44). It said to press one because my car warrentee was expiring. I knew it was a scam because my car is 21 years old (still has under a 100,000 miles though!). I pressed one and got a live person on the line. He most definately did NOT have a British accent. He was American. That indicates that these calls are being routed through a foreign country so as to evade tracking and prosuction under U.S. law. When I tried to find out who the company was who was offering the extended policy the man hung up on me, which is fairly typical for these types of calls. The next time I'll play along and give them false information in the hopes of getting more information about the company. The last one of these company started pestering me I found out who they were and reported them to the FBI. The calls finally stopped only then. (Thank you Congress for doing such a great job in keeping these crooks out of our homes!)

Just got the call.  They used the "warranty is expiring" message on me, so I pressed 1 to speak with an agent, but the call forwarded to a disconnected number.  I too am on the national do-not-call registry.

i just got the call acouple minutes ago and lookedup thenumber on google. it was a taped message about auto insurance expiring.  my caller id had a +44 in front of it, and it was to my cell phone. i heard it's illegal for telemarketers or any type of soliciters to call a cell number, the fcc is supposed to fine them 300 dollars for each call, but i'm not sure what happens if it's through an international call. i'm going to look around some more. i hope the warrantygroup info is correct though, hopefully the person on the phone didn't lie to you

ditto the complaint above - The call started as a recorded message about my auto warranty - I pressed one to speak to a live agent - When connected to agent, his 1st question was asking the year and make of my vehicle.  I asked his name, which he said was "Ira".  He told me the name of the company, something about auto warranty but I don't remember specifically - He got an attitude with me when I told him to remove my name from their calling list-said he doesn't have a list

Hi everyone,

I recently got a spam/call from the infamous +442074121069 / 442074121069 / 2074121069 number.  I spoke with Anna Davenport at AT&T Customer Care, as the number that was called was my cell phone.  The recorded message on the call from the 207 number sounded similar to a call I had gotten on April 10th from +5614827092.  I spoke with Ilo (ILO) Richardson at AT&T Customer Care (may be moving) on that day (4/10).  Anna is going to follow up with me later about these kinds of calls.

As for "The Warranty Group" and "Dial Group," I called The Warranty Group via Skype, and I talked with a rep. there.  He said they are not affiliated with Dial Group at all, and I Googled The Warranty Group and they seemed to have a good reputation.  He said they split with Aon Insurance, or were related to them in some way.  I let the rep. know about the different kinds of scams the guys pull from the 207. number (credit cards, auto rates, Disney vacations) The rep. took down my name and cell phone number.  I only felt comfortable giving my cell phone number out to the rep. after I googled the company. (see above)

I wanted to put something up here before anyone went ahead and sued, had bad feelings toward, or spread mis-information about the wrong company.  The guy from The Warranty Group sounded concerned, as I told him these scumbags were posing as a legit company, tarnishing the real company's reputation.

Maybe the guy Brandon talked with didn't tell him the spelling of Warranty?  Maybe they're using some oddball spelling of it to get away with this while fooling people?  Probably not, but the possibility still exists.

I don't know if it's related, but I've gotten three calls from "508" on my cell phone as well.  That's it, just "508".  AT&T lists the number online as 000-000-0508.  Odd.

I tried to contact you at your email address Brandon, but it said that your email address didn't exist.

I have numerous phone calls from 1-207-412-1069, the caller states the they are calling from Cardmember Services.  They claim that they can get my interest rate lowered to 6.9%, all I have to do is verify my account number, social security number, etc.  That's when I asked which credit card company are they calling on needless to say that's when they hung up. Everyone should be made aware never give any information to these callers if you think the call is legit call your credit card company direct to verify.  I called my credit card company and they advised me to call my local police department.

I got this too but I didn't answer.  If I don't know the number - I don't answer.  It's that simple.  I know curiosity gets you, but don't answer and they eventually quit calling.

Interesting. They seem to have bounced back to the warranty situation.  They said I could press 1 to speak with someone and 2 to hang up.  I pressed 2 and it said that I had 'been removed from their list.' I hope that this is actually the case but I doubt it.
