3 calls today from this number. 2 rings @ for first 2, got third after 1st ring - dial tone.  Something very peculiar.

3 calls from this # in the past hour - rings about 3 times, no one leaves a message.

Says numer and wireless caller on caller ID. Hung up when answering machine came on. This is a Maine area code, I don't know anyone in that state who would be calling me. Other sites onilne suggest it might be a spoofed number.I wonder if my Vonage records show another one? No, it shows the same.

I received a call from this number this morning. The gentlemen said, "I'm Jan from Vermont Educators United" and rattled about "quality education". Or perhaps he said, "Vermont Early Educators United", since that's the only similar phrase that comes up in a web search. That group is a project of the American Federation of Teachers. There was plenty of background noise typical of a boiler room telemarketing operation. I politely dumped the call.

Been getting calls from this number (with a "1" in front of the 207. Says WIRELESS CALLER on it. Hangs up on the answering machine. 3 times in one hour this morning. Just called again #4 today. I picked it up and did't talk. finally a woman (with a heavy accident like some of the tech support people who are in India, etc) said "hello?" I didn't answer. She started in how "this is the VT educational association and lawmakers are meeting to decide if early childhood education teachers whould have a union, to make sure children get a quality education" (or something like that) I live in VT but 207 is the area code for Maine, and wouldn't have a "1" showing on the numer on the caller ID. I listened for a few minutes without speaking and finally hung up. I probably should have listened longer and found out more about it, but it doesn't seem legit without a real (VT) number. Something isn't right about it.Have looked this number up before (they have called a lot) and some seem to think it's a spoof-fake number that shows. Even if it was from Maine (207) it wouldn't show a "1" with the number.

I too have been receiving these calls, at all hours. They don't leave a message, they just hang up. I tried to call them but received only a taped response. Eventually the only response was that their mailbox is full. Would it help to contact phone company?

Funny how the time range of calls from this number is nearly 10 months.  I suspect it is a POLITICAL call - PROBABLY the ROMNEY NUMBNUTS CAMPAIGN but we'll never know because I picked up and hung up without answering.

Called at **7PM on a SATURDAY** while we were entertaining company.

Is there *NO* time that is sacred to these SCUMBAGS????

I live in Massachusetts and have been receiving several calls a day from this number. I am tempted to answer, because it says wireless caller. They hang up on the answering machine each time. I am on the do not call list, so I don't understand why I even get these calls.

called 3 times today I finally picked up and they said that they were from mass teachers union and who was I supporting in the coming election. I asked why they were calling from a maine area code and they quickly hung up. Very sketchy and most likely not the teachers union. Do not take these calls!

Constant calls from these jackals... Caller ID says "Cell Phone ME" and today alone they have called 3 times - most recent, now (Sunday 7:00 pm).  I never answer as this "validates" your number as "real" - and identifies you as a prime sucker.  Having a landline phone as part of a "bundle" means I get hundreds of calls a month from Mechanicsburg, PA, Osgood, UT, someplace in Oregon.... selling things, shilling for politicians, cancer, sick kids, car warranty "extensions", etc.  If I didn't have the HDTV/Internet/phone bundle I'd dump the landline.  These people are the lowest forms of life.

TWO more calls, today, SUNDAY, AUG 12.  WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO RELAXING in YOUR OWN HOME on a SUNDAY, the **SABBATH** without being PESTERED by CRIMINAL SCUMBAGS????  WHAT do we have to do to get this to stop???  They NEVER leave any message, and we are not ABOUT to engage with anyone on the other end of a SPOOFED number that says "Wireless Caller" and doesn't have the DECENCY to ID themselves or leave a message.

WHERE are the other complaints about this?  Are WE the only LUCKY ones?????

Same here - as a retired teacher the female said she represented the Mass Teachers- I think not, I replied, as your caller ID is in Maine-

Calls repeatedly, no message, hangs up.

We have gotten two calls in the past hour from this number.  There hasn't been anyone on the line when I have answered and they just hang up. It's a Maine number and we do live in Maine; however, we do not recognize this number at all.

see this is precisely an example of telephone harassment , but where is the government? if this is a telemarketer or political call, one why would you hang up or when called back talk to the person calling openly ,two in both cases they would be seeking money or support,  three them saying there from Vermont and a Maine number is on the id, wouldnt you announce yourself as a new england based company, but anyway it totally sounds like a scam, that we joe con sumer gets no help from our government
