I just got a call as well but the connection dropped.  Not sure what it was about, but I thought I'd post

Left me a voice mail telling me they "found a solution to my debt problem through a non-profit agency." SPAM big time. They implied that we had spoken before which is just a lie.

I just got it too. I didn't answer though.

just got a call from them, i didnt pick up and they didnt leave a message so it cant be important

got a call and it got dropped

This is the same message I just recieved. Funny thing, since I don't have any credit card debt.

I got the same "Uh, Hi" then a disconnect.  I suspect that was a recording designed to get some response so they could build a list of valid phone numbers.

We got a call from this number and it says it is from insider events

I answered the call. A man said hello, but call was dropped. I called the number back 3 or 4 times, but only got a buzzy.

I rcvd a vm from (207)493-2638 on my cell. A woman said her name is Carol Castillo from a non-profit org. & had spoken with me (LIE) to reduce my credit card interest rate to 1.5%.  She left the tele # (888) 261-4568 for me to call.  I suspected this was a phishing scam... so called to play with them... A woman answered said her name is Stacia. I immediately asked for name of company she reluctantly said it was "Consumer Debt Helpline", she began to try to fast-talk me.. but I interrupted by asking from where did they get my number.  She tried to blow it off.  Then I asked "Where are you located?"  She immediately hung up.

I checked online for their website.  It is linked to a company located in UK.  But probably a total SCAM.  BEWARE!!

Ditto! Some man on the other end and he said hello & then hung up. He called my phone that I barely use and that is prepaid and normally used as a back-up for my main cell phone.

got a call today 5/31/11 i heard a male voice but did not say anything after the hello.

Just got a call from these through my Google voice.. since it was a recording, it missed the first bit, but it left a callback number of 8882614568.

I'm thinking spam. I have now blocked it on Google Voice.

Got the call. VM left, but I have not listened to it ...
