007 - 21 Apr 2008I received the same call on my cell and I picked up. Recorded message stated that warranty on my car was expiring and they would like to help me extend it. I"m on the DNC list and they shouldn't have called me in the first place. After a few minutes of recorded music an operator picked up and asked me if my auto warranty was actually expiring. Thus, they're just fishing for people with expiring warranties to sell them with extended warranties. On more delving for info he connected me to the company who hired these tele-marketers for these sales calls:

Student - 21 Apr 2008I received a call from this number, and I hit 1 to speak to a representative. The person did not identify himself, and only asked "Will you be renewing or extending your warranty?" I asked, "What warranty?"...."The warranty on your car."...to which I replied..."Warranty with whom? Who are you? Do you even know what kind of car I have?"....they said "UH..." and hung up. I really hate these kinds of calls.

clb06 - 21 Apr 2008This number called me telling me that this is the last call to renew the warranty on my car. I waited through the hold noticing that it systematically counted me down to the next 'available representative'. When I got through, I asked what warranty are they talking about. All I got was a 'uh-huh' and silence. I said,"Did you hear my question?"..and then they hung up. I called the number back and I get a message telling me that the number is not in service.

kjb - 21 Apr 2008Got a call from this number to my alternate cell phone, the number for which I do not give out. I didn't recognize the number, so I let it go to voicemail. No message left; I googled the number and got this site. I don't have a car with a warranty on it, either. Jerks.
