His name was C J Johnson and he was calling to collect money from a payday loan from 2010 and said that I did check fraud and he has my bank name and name and wanted 2500.00 to settle my debt  I told him I was in bankruptcy and he told me that there is no record of that and that wont coverit if I don't pay there will b a warrant out for my arrest and possible incarsaration and they also said that this was recorded

Same happened to me. I got loans years ago but the account they told me was my new account and i never defaulted on anything on this account. they wont leave me alone and im sick of it.  have they called you backed?

I today got a call from the same person cj johnson and his boss mr.lancaster saying that i owe 1950.45 from a debt that i know i payed off i got in contact with the loan company they said i am all paid off scam

A family member received a call from CJ Johnson stating they had a cash advance in 2011, wanted money now or a warrant within 24 to 72 hours would be issued.  He would send them to the work place.

I received a call from the same number, same guy...I did have a payday loan that I forgot that I had defaulted on...He had a lot of information about me-most of which I had apparently provided to the payday loan company.The guy explained to me the laws in my state and was helpful by getting me a reasonable settlement...I think this guy was just doing his job!

Yes, loan dementia is a dread disease that mostly afflicts fake loan shills.  The only known cure is for the person to stop scamming and get a real job!  Therefore it is extremely hard, if not impossible to cure.  LOL!

The same CJ Johnson is calling with things that were handled back in 2009.  How do you stop these call?

I too have been the recipient of these calls for loans that I took care of very recently.  I wish that I had never been trapped into the payday loan cycle. sigh. but I just called the district attorney office. low and behold, this is a civil matter and they DO NOT WORK WITH THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. our information is locked into a system and well we just get fed into it and spit out.it's pretty awesome how if you just sound authoritative you can get people to do just about anything.

I have received calls from this number asking for a specific individual. As I am not that individual, and it is my cell phone they are calling, I can only presume that the individual either gave them the incorrect number originally or they are calling an incorrect area code. Stuff happens. I will say that even though I have told them multi[le times that the number they were calling was incorrect for the individual they are trying to reach, they continue to call. The first call from today was at around 12:40. told them they had the wrong number and they called again at 12:50. Annoying at the least.

I received a call from this number and the person identified himself as James Cox.  He asked for me specifically and said that my daughter Nicolle used me as a personal reference and he wanted to verify this.  He was very specific in saying I needed to return the call. Naturally, I did not return the call.

Received a call from James Cox. He has left two messages on my work phone saying I needed to return his call or he would contact my employer. I have tried to return the call three times only to be sent straight to voice mail. I have not received anything in the mail and am concerned this is related to some kind of payday loan scam. Ive contacted my District Attorney, Consumer Credit Commissioner, Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.. How do I get off these peoples list??? These threatening calls need to stop! Also he seems to call after I have received a call from Brighton Colorado saying "We have returned items from your bank". Then after he calls I get a call from a local number.

Received a call from James Cox at 207-591-4925 stating he's with CCS (?) about a MyCashNow payday loan that I started over two years ago, but NEVER finalized. They threaten issuing an arrest warrant, etc. They seem to have all of your info, but do not fall for it! THIS IS A SCAM......DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. Check the Better Business Bureau. There are several complaints like this one.

James Cox called me again at my work number. I finally answered and he stated I had a payday loan from 2011 that I had defaulted on and would like to make arrangements for payment. I told him I would need to contact the orginal debtor, his reply to that was "Once the defaulted loan hits corporate level they will have no information on the defaulted loan". That is when I became sure this was a scam. I asked for his information and he would not supply any. I asked for a copy of all the information he was claiming I owed be mailed to me for my attorney to review and he reported the only thing he was going to sent to me was a demand letter and the sheriffs department. Its been about 3 weeks and I have received nothing nor have I received a call back from him. Hopefully this ends these darn calls!

This James cox called my work told me if I didn't pay money today he would call my job and tell them I was gonna be arrested it would be a felony I gave them my account number they are taking 215.00 out my account tomorrow should I cancel this please answer asap

I also got call from 207-591-4925 they called my work saying affidavit was being filed.  They said I would be arrested to have money in bank or they would call my job.  They had me scared should I be please answer me

Problem with that is if he was getting you a settlement you should have asked to pay it directly to a the loan you had not to them because you probably just got screwed over big time
