I called a toll free number to request information about the nuwave oven.  The man that took my call was very rude and abrasive, demanding I give him my info including my credit card number. I finally hung up when he became  loud and even abusive. He called right back and I did not answer, so he hung up.
That was  night before last (3/26/2010)  There were two numbers and I think I called 1-800-732-6024. The other number was 1-800-936-8697.

Today I recieved a call from this same man who identified himself as Brandon, his number on my caller ID was 207-618-1477 and said "Broadvoice inc".  He asked my if I had placed an order for the nuwave oven yet, I said "no, and I am not going to".  And then I simply hung up.  I find this man threatening and intimidating.

    Jean,
Same thing happened. Started to complete a Nu Wave order form for parts, but decided against it at this time, for several reasons, including that the purchase order form url is a regular http protocol and not encrypted or locked. No sooner did I close the browser than my phone rang from # 207-618-1477. Clearly someone in the company is monitoring our shopping carts covertly even before we complete the order information or check out. I didn't even enter a phone # in the form, but somehow they called the number, probably by a sneaky IP adddress trace. It bothers me that someone has the information in our forms BEFORE we decide to purchase the item or send it. It's also unprofessional and creepy that no message was left.

I called NuWave oven, but I hung up to call later. Now I don't think I will, because that seems to be a common thread here.

ive been getting calls from this number and noone is on the other line.  When i call back i get automated response.  Istarted ordering the nuwave oven and also cancelled midway through, this appears to be all of our common issues

Yup I attempted to order the nuwave pro and then the grand total was comming up to 300 bucks I told them no thanks the lady kept insisting that she would waive everything including the pizza Dish deal either way they wanted $$$ and I saw the ploy and said FARK That..the Call was recorded so meh they know I said NO!. then today got a call from broadvoice inc 207-618-1477. I'll go the eBay route and wing it for 150.00. 200+ is way out of my price range for a big ass plastic dome.

September 26, 2010 the same thing just happened to me. When I phoned the number back it said the phone was not in order. This prompted me to plug the number into Google, and here I am. I called the 800 nuwave oven number to complain and was blown off. I did not order the product from them since Kohl's has it cheaper.  Please let your friends and family know that Nuwave has a problem with prank calling individuals. Tomorrow is Monday and I will report their prank to the better business bureau.

online forms are designed to capture your information even if you never submit the form

the best way to avoid this in the future is to read the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy on all websites before filling out forms.   This is where they tell you about ongoing charges and whether they sell /share your information with others.

Another way is not put your ph# in at all - to get around the required field - enter a valid area code - then 000-0000. NO CALLS.

If they refuse to do business with you - ITS THEIR LOSS - NOT YOURS!

I always wait for these things to come out in the stores.  NO HASSLES - NO TELEMARKETING CALLS

All those TV Ad offers are OVER-PRICED to begin with,  when the product comes out in the stores
they cost less and you don't have to pay shipping and handling charges which are also overpriced.

if it never comes out the stores - no big deal - I don't have to have THAT BAD!

The best thing to do is warn everyone you know via phone, email, Facebook, every way you can about the harassment issue and allow them to be informed to read this page before they ever think of calling and ordering or having questions concerning the Nuwave products.

Must not be doing to well with business if they have all this extra time to make harassing phone calls.

Remember. Any time you make a toll free call number, even if you have a blocked number, they can still get you with their caller ID.

Many stores sell this product, Penney's, Kohl's etc, with good sale prices, on occasion, and no shipping. Nuwave charges 29.95 shipping per every item they ship to you. So, if it states FREE...Just pay S&P don't do it. They do not let you know the charges prior. One extension and one Pizza item, and one Nuwave oven = $89.85 and could be more. Buyer Beware !!!

I too called Nuwave just to inquire.  Now I have started getting these calls. Thanks guys for letting for letting me know. Guess I will just have to use Mr  Numbers and block them. Sure won't be buying a Nuwave that way.

This is creepy!  I've been watching the infomercials and thought I wanted one.  I plugged the number in my phone, but decided not to call.  I did do a search on line...but can't figure out how they actually got my phone number.  I've received two calls in the last two days, but didn't answer since they were an unknown caller.  No messages were left! I refuse to answer my any calls from an unidentified caller.  I'm sure glad I searched the number.  No more infomercials for me!
