We got a letter from a man called Anthony Burton claiming that he was from 'Investment Services Limited' and he said that the president of the company had passed away without an heir. Is this true?

Same letter received by many people in New Zealand and Australia

Just the surname changed - "Late Mr. K. P. Xxxxxx who died in 1999"

I hope no-one is taken in by this scam

Seems to be the same guy everytime. I'm surprised the law enformcent for the at country hasn't caughthim yet. What "scum" artist.

DONT BE SCAMMED. Such B.S. I received a letter today from "William Orwell of Investment SErvices Ltd. in England" stating the following:

"I am Mr. William Orwell, Auditor General of our company Investment Services Ltd. here in London. In the course of my auditin, I discovered a floating fund in an account which was opened in 1990 belonging to a dead foreigner Late Mr. K.P. *YOUR LAST NAME* who died in 1999. Ou rrecrods show that every effort made by our company to track any member of his family has failed because the deceased died leaving no heir or will. We have decied to contact you to stand as next of kin because you bear the same last name with the deceased. etc. etc. etc. "

SUCH B.S.  And I'm the only one to bear the SAME last name???

Makes me want to make a fake account just to find out who these perps really are.

What a scam !!!  Just received a letter today from William Orwell of Investment services Ltd. in England.  Does anybody know the place i can report this ?  Or should i call Chris Henson on NBC and go undercover?

Received an email from William Orwell. Almost fell for it until I read the email. It was written very badly with run-on sentences and other mistakes. It would be great if NBC, CBS, ABC, or other TV stations can look into this situation so other people (especially little old ladies and men) won't be taken in by this scam. Go undercover. PLEASE!!!

I just received a letter from a Mr. William Orwell rof Investment Services Limited egarding a floating fund belonging to "a dead foreigner" whose name was similar to mime.  The letter was sent from London.  It was helpful to learn that other people have received the same letter so that this incidence could be clearly identified as a scam.  Thanks!

Yes we also got a letter, was sent by a Mr. Simeon Bake. So he or she must be a complete sad f*ck.

My parents got this letter too. Same template from "William Orwell". Looked like BS from the start and thank you all on this thread to confirm it.
