I finally answered and this high pressure salesman supposedly in Boise ID put the pitch on me for saw blades, air hoses, etc. and promised a 30 day net account. I think they are targeting us guys in the construction biz but not sure how they get that info.

I am in construction and get calls from this # I do not answer but I am glad you posted this. Now I know who it is thanks!

This group is very high pressure and tries to be ultra familiar by using a buddy-buddy type of interaction without knowing me, which I find offensive. THis type of call usually warns me not to disclose any information or involve myself in any transaction with them.

They have called my shop about twice a year usually after 6pm and have not taken me off their calling list per my request.

My Standard answer to all telemarketers is "If I wanted to buy something I would be seeeking out companies that I think are reputable and at this time I haven't done any research on them and until I do I will be unable to purchase anything. And by the way I don't not make my purchases over the phone with unknown or unreseached companies."

I have also suggested they seek sales in less offensive and pushy ways. If they truly wanted to gain a customer base they would reexamine their methodology and make adjustments to their sales technique.

The only question left to be answered is" How does one help an arrogrant and/or pushy person understand "NO". Perhaps the word could use a modifier such as using the word "HECK" in front of NO!

I have tired of telemarketers so much that my goal is to get them to hang up on me.

We do not want them to call and will report them if they do not stop.
When I talk to actual people they are arrogant and pushy and refuse to answer questions. This has to be some sort of scam, exactly what, who knows?

received a call from them too, he acted like he knew my boss personally and said he better not be at the strip club or fishing... there aren't even strip clubs in this town

Several days ago, I got a scary and harassing phone call on my personal cell phone number, from a guy at 208-378-7398 (Reverse look up indicates a private caller in Boise, Idaho). He wouldn't tell me who he was, and at first he talked with a heavy accent like an old hispanic man.  He asked me about my ex husband. The caller knew his name, and what business he works in. Then he repeatedly questioned me to divulge MY exact address, and physical whereabouts, which he seemed to know anyway.  When I refused to comply with his questioning until he told me who he was and what he wanted, his accent changed to that of a 'young white man', his tone became threatening and he told me, "I KNOW you're in (city name)" then hung up.  Much to my embarrassment, I had a panic attack right there, because his tone was so threatening.

it isnt a scam just a real business, selling real products with employees trying to make a living.

I have recieved a number of these high pressure calls from people at this and other numbers in Boise Idaho. They seem to know me and pretend to know my buisness. Where do they get your number.? Look no further than your own state department of labor. When you file for a contractors license these guys obtain your personal information from the state under the freedom of information act. I know I called the state and they acknowledged this.
 These guys used to say they were in arizona now its boise. I have been called 6 or 7 times and allways ask to be taken off their list. They call anyway. Last week I politely asked them to not call and the telemarketer used the strongest of language to cuss me out and then hung up. I called back and asked for his manager who made a feeble apology but then became verbaly aggressive and he swore at me and hung up.
 I called again and tried to get further info and was told they worked for ACE HARDWARE !!!!!  I asked again and this telemarketer said ",Yeah thats right  ACE HARDWARE we have warehouses full of stuff you need,".
 Anyway to date I have called the Idaho attourney general, the Boise police department and the better buisness buero.  All of these agencies were unwilling to do anything.     Thanks for nothing guys.     So I called the legal department of ACE HARDWARE. They were very interested in this bunch of telemarketers misrepresenting themselves. they are watching these guys . If they bother you call ACE and complain.  They are nothing more than a bunch of fraudulent idiots trying to get your money. Oh and the attourney for ACE HARDWARE found out their real name. so watch out for calls from ACE contractors supply.  These guys are not to be trusted.

A man from this same company did the exact same thing to me. He called the company I work for and asked for my boss using one voice at the beginning of the call. (It sounded like a high pitched squeeky voice.) Then he said he would call my boss's cell phone and was using a different voice. (His second voice was more like that of a younger white male.) This is bizarre.
Then my boss called me us a few minutes later and advised me that Ace Industrial had called again and to add record of this call to the record of correspondence that we are keeping for our complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I have reported this company and their many phone numbers to all the governing bodies, FTC, BBB, local authorities. Ace has so many different locations (California, Idaho, Arizona) that it makes reporting them extremely time consuming. But it is worth it, if it can stop these "salesmen" from continuing to harass innocent people.

I did not call the companyback. I checked on the Internet first to see who they were. My husband is a private contractor and is not planning to call this number.

The number on the caller ID is 208-319-1682.

208-319-1674 from Boise Idaho, unsolicited sales call, personal information culled from state department of business licensing under the FOI. If the calls continue, I will report the company to the BBB office in Boise. This company already carries an F rating with that office. Nothing works better than the 'end call' button.

how many complaints will it take until we get justice ? three times this week they've called my shop. and when i have to crawl out from under a truck i'm working on and find them on the line wanting to "update my  account", which i've never had, i therefore in an unchristian-like way, unload my frustration,dropping f-bombs along the way. belidgerance [ok,i have trouble with big words] must be bliss in that company. i mean really, what are the qualifications for employment there? must have: a pulse,no manners that resemble those of a normal human being,what? to me, this tim stearns, or whoever owns this sorry excuse for a company is cut from the same soiled cloth as that guy that produces those girls gone wild videos. can you say loser? gotta stop now. got a call from 208 322 015-----W.T.H.!

One thing in common with all these posts......they are all from Idaho.....does no one know where Ace is located? It's not Idaho.....one bad apple does not spoil the whole box.

I work for an ACE in Boise. We do sell tools over the phone and we do use SALES tactics but nothing involving cussing out customers nor threatening ANYONE EVER!  We are not scamming anyone just selling tools. No one in our office is a con man. We all used to do construction or some other hard back-breaking, REAL-American Jobs. Than no longer exist.!! We are paid an hourly wage, by the way.
Truthfully, companies here have such a huge unemployment force to pick from now, I seriously doubt anyone that is negative on the phone in any way would ever be hired for anything. It takes months and months to get a job here in Boise and you have to have years+ of experience in order to even be concidered for an interview. Or maybe you are just repeating some slander you read from a disgruntled employee on ripp-off reports because you are irritated by a simple sales call.

How much intelligence does it take to block a phone number????? REALLY!!!!
... If you know the number you can block it for free. And its so much faster than blogging online about something you obviously dont have the resources to investigate properly.

It is a scam.  I made the mistake of buying sawzall blades once from one of their fast talking salesmen. he told me what they cost and I thought it was a fair price until I got the bill with $40 shipping charges added to that price. The next time they called  I said I wouldn't buy from them again because they added extreme shipping charges without telling me, then the salesman got rude cause I questioned their shipping costs. Recently I received a call from Ace and the guy tried selling me a laser level. I told him to give me the model number and I would read up on it.. He told me it was made by the SG corp and it was model A201. He also said it retailed for $400 and the were letting it go for $289. Still he tried to pressure me and just send it... I said no and call back tomorrow after I find out about it.. That night I tried looking it up with no results. So I decided to see if Ace had a website. They did with a online catolog I looked up lasers on it and a Skil brand model sg8201 was on there. So then I did a search on that and found Lowes sells that same model for $89.
The next day he called and I let him have it. Trying to scam on small business owners! Shame on Ace!!! Trying to sell a product for $200 over retail... What a bunch of thieves!

Mike you're one of the [***] that keeps calling me. I have repeatedly told your business to quit calling me and now I get calls everyday. Like today when your associate said he was gonna "come spank my little [***] " for telling him to quit calling.  I told him he was being recorded and he kept being rude and said I told him to call me. So I'm telling you now.. Every time you guys call me  you will be recorded and a lawsuit to follow for harassment. I run a business and don't need my time being wasted by your calls.

You guys call from unknown numbers all the time so how do we block those???? I have asked your company to quit calling. But I still receive at least 2 calls a week from your so called company. Why don't you give me your cell number so I can call and harass you!
