I had an ad up on craigslist and they wanted to buy it for $100 more than I had asked. He said he wanted to pay using paypal and that it would be shipped to his cousin in a another state. he sent me an email which said that $550 was deposited and they need a tracking # to fully transfer the money.  I looked at the address i was sending it to and here is what I got.

I called the guy out on it and he told me it was from another transaction that he got "scammed " on. I told him it was not getting shipped and he asked "what wrong"    so everyone beware of this idea that they are using. It almost got me

Just had this number text me about my laptop and it was the same thing. $100 more than asking price using PayPal and send to the same address. My gut told me something just not right about it so I decided to Google his number. Glad I did.

I just got a text message from this number wanting to pay $200 more than asking price.  Wanting to pay through paypal.  Ship item to:

I called him out and told him it was a scam and I was contacting law enforcement.  He said "so"

Same [***] happen to me I caught it before he got to far thanks to everyone here

Just got a text from this number willing to pay for my post $125 more than asking price. Same story as the others... would like to buy it for a cousin fr out of state and will be paying thru Paypal.  Glad I saw other posts.  I texted back "Not interested".
