Got a call from 208-357-4216.  Guy wanted to talk to youngest male in the household.  He asked me if I was a registered voter and in which state.  I told him, he thanked me and hung up. Weird.  I thought it was going to be for political opinion.  It was not.

Just got a call on this number on my business cell phone. As it is Sunday and I wasn't expecting any calls, I didn't reach the phone in time to answer. Based on other posts, it appears they will likely call back.

This number is a political survey that takes about 15 minutes to complete.  It isn't partisan or obnoxious but one can tell the caller is not well-practiced in her delivery of the questions.  Not the worst phone call one can receive.

    Irritated
This number called twice in the past two days, so it is now blocked. White pages have it listed as Trask Johnson or Dennis Paulson or a veterinary clinic in Idaho. Probably a spoofed number based on reports above regarding a political survey.

Got a call from 208-357-4216 at 5:07 pm & again at 5:30 pm and again at 5:50 pm. That's harassment.  I told the 1st caller not to call again unless he could tell me who was paying for the survey on Ohio's issues. He said that the state of Ohio was paying for it. It's probably Gov. Kasich using our tax dollars to pay for his research on messaging for the election coming up in November. I refused to answer, I told him why so, 2 different women called back.

The callers say that they're from Target Research. White pages.com says that it's Bandwidth.com VoIP in Idaho Falls, ID.

I do not donate to any charity that bothers me by phone.  I do not take calls that have no info displayed on my caller ID.  I do not take "out of area" calls.  What I do is pick up my phone, turn it on and press several buttons, one at a time, holding each for a few seconds.  If it's a robot call, the robot might assume it has called a fax machine.  If it's a human caller, I've just irritated them a little for irritating me a lot.  Being registered on the "do not call" list should mean just that.   Too many fake charities who only give 5% of the money to their "cause" (that's all the government requires), and especially too many 5 minute long political robocalls.  Wonder why the politicians exempted themselves from "do not call" ?

--and it actually puts a name with this caller ID. I'm getting two calls a day from this number, which I'm absolutely not picking up. Is that right that there's a name tied to this number, though? I thought reverse phone look-ups were confidential. I hope the website isn't naming the wrong person. However, if this is the guy making these calls, he should be reported to donotcall.gov.

I have received many calls from this number and just ignore them.  One would think if no one is responding they would stop calling.  calls usually come around dinner time which makes it more annoying!!!

Claimed it was a survey. Could have just been an excuse to get around the do not call list. She hung up at some point during my tirade of obscenities.  The list is worthless so I just ordered a new phone that I can program to block nuisance calls. Looking at my call log I see a lot of them are repeat offenders so I can at least cut back on them.

Maybe so, but the DNC works as it is supposed to work. Survey's are exempt from it unless they attempt to sell goods or services at the end which then makes them a illegal Telemarketer. The DNC isn't a call blocker though and can't stop the frauds, scammers, illegal telemarketers from calling you though.

And as for survey's, if they do not place you on their internal DNC, they can still be fined, same goes for charities. At the moment, Oregon is the only state I know of that doesn't allow charities. So its also woerth your time to read up on your states DNC as well as the federal.

    By State DNC lists:

I got this number and it was a very nice gentleman that was taking a survey for Gov. Sam Brownback in Kansas. It was an opinion survey and I answered all of the questions and then asked him what State he was calling from and all he would say was it was outside of Kansas. (It's Idaho btw)

Shame on you Gov.. Brownback for taking jobs away from Kansans to get your survey done.
