I also got a call from this number on 5/22/2016.
I have the no solicit on my phone...

Got a call asking for donation for injured and disabled police officers that were hurt in the line of duty

They will not call to collect $ this way. It is a scam! Beware!!

"Wireless customer can not be reached at this time" WTF? I returned this call within a minute or so of receiving it.

Got a call. Did not answer. Tried to return call but it wouldnt go through. Scam.

Did not answer. According to information as of January 1, 2016, the 488 prefix does not exist in Idaho.

Asked if I would donate over the phone for donation for injured and disabled police officers. Said top donations were $150-175.  I asked if they would give me their online information but they said they do not deal online at this time. Scam...

No message left. Solicitor.

Said they were from the American Police and Sheriff Assoc.  I hung up before they had a chance to ask for a donation--Scam!

just received a phone call from (208)488-6565 asking if I would donate money over the phone for families of injured and disabled police officers...sounded like a nice guy with a nice script but I never make a donation over the phone (especially someone who has called ME) so I asked for a web address or a mailing with the organization letterhead and he hung up on me. Scammy scam scam.

Got a call, I didn't answer, no message. I tried to call back after reading the blog and it did not go thru, one web site said it was not a valid number.

This is scam per krem2 news. Do not donate and report to police department.

Received call 7/21/16 8:55pm - loud buzz on other end.

Received call from 208-488-6565 at 8:04 pm from "Unknown Name"....never answer phone if not in my contacts. There is no 488 prefix in Idaho!

Loud buzz on other end. No response. Then my wife was called from the same number twenty mins later.

Got a call at 7:40 pm, said something about sheriffs association, I've only had my number 3 days so I asked how they got it, because it creeped me out that some rando was calling me. Guy said "bye" but didn't actually hang up himself, I did after a minute of silence.
