Same here... where are you from Deb?  Alabama by chance?

This number called me a few times and left a message each time if I did not answer: "this is a polical survey call. We call you next time." Please advise me how to block this kind of calls. (I am from Alabama. )

208 area code is creating a bad area.  Block these if possible

I am from Bama too.  Call your carrier and they can manually block a specific number for 90 days.  Verizon will do this for up to 10 numbers I think

This is a response for Bec and anyone else that finds it useful.  I too live in Alabama, I get other calls from 208 numbers that appear to be the same type of call, so I searched 208-758-0219 and found a lot more information about it after reading the four pages of comments!

I would also like to note by reading all of the comments it appears to mostly be affecting Verizon customers, and I am one as well, but I could be wrong.

You may be able to call Verizon and have this number blocked, but I have never had to use that feature.  I currently use a Verizon Motorola Droid with a paid application (there are many, I use 'Gblocker' to reject all phone calls from 208* area code (area code with * being wildcard) since I do not know anyone from that area code it will not affect me, and I do not get the calls anymore.  Non smartphone/PDA users will have to call Verizon support and ask them to block an unwanted call that is harassing you (this number)

lol I must be very tired this morning... and dyslexic!!  I said "Bec" instead of "Deb"  ..... and I'm not sure how!  Oh well it was kinda funny after I realized it several minutes later...

I got a call from this number this morning and it appeared as J2 on the ID....My machine picked up and the message said Is Obama doing good as your president....this is a political survey call and we will attempt to call you at another time.

got a call last night that went to voice mail about political survey, then another call this morning, I personally have sprint and had them block this number

Got the same number on my caller ID multiple times...what happened to the do not call list?

This number has been calling me 2 to 3 times a day for the past 3 days. Just says a political survey and they will call back. How do I block them? I also get calls from 208-578-0219 and 800-818-3626. They all have the same recorded message. I'm on the do not call list. I also filed a complaint. What else can I do when the calls are automated and you can tell them to take my number off the list????

I live in Illinois and use AT&T for phone and I do get these calls
I called it back one time and was greeted by a what sounded like a fax machine
just reported it to the donotcall.gov as a recorded message

I got a phone call from the number 208-575-7472 they left a messege "it is a survay call, we may call back"
on the same day people tried to break in my back yard to steal our canoe.
I don't know if there is a connection to the phone call but they both happend on the same day.

I live in Northern Illinois this number called me when I was outside. I didn't have a chance to answer but when I called it back it acted as if I was calling a fax.. This is the third time this number has called and every time it has a new name on the caller ID..

Comes up as "J2" on caller ID. Several calls per day...no idea what it is.....

Verizon customer that always screens unknown numbers. Left a computer generated male voice that said, "We may call back later." Let's hope they quit.
