I looked up number before answering and didn't see it come up on the usual "unwanted call sites".  It is an automated call from "Sarah with Consumer Services".  I added to my auto reject list since I've found this to be more effective than the DNC list.

Caller ID shows "Coeur D'Alene, ID".  Probably a spoofed number.  The voicemail caught a part of automated recording: "It is urgent that you contact us immediately concerning your eligibility to lower interest rates.  Your eligibility expires today, consider this your final notice.  Press 1 to be connected to a live operator."  Scammers.  I am blocking it.

I also received a call from this number, no message, did not answer, they can call my Tree Phone, so tired of this crap:(

Robo-scammer calling with important information about credit cards. So important I hung up and blocked them. Real credit card companies don't make these calls.

Caller ID K. Lingren, Coer D Alene, ID. DID not know this caller.  Didn't answer, no message.  Called back, message; "YOUR CALL CAN NOT BE COMPLETED, PLEAE HANG UP AND TRY AGIAN".

Came through on my mobile phone, so I sent it straight to voicemail and headed over here to check the number. This website has become a priceless tool in my war against spam calls (though I confess to having a little fun a few weeks back with one of the scam IRS callers, it was quite hilarious). Many thanks to all of you who keep posting here!

Received a call and did press 1. Talk with a man with thick accent! Got my expiration date (I fell fot it) next wanted me to verify my card number. I said ok read me the number and I'll tell you if that is it.. He assured me this was not a fraudulent call and tried for my number again. Again I said no you tell me the number.. He started talking to someone in the background and click hung up on me! I immediately called my card company and told them about it and passed the number on to them. Blocking this number!!

Received 3 calls in a row from this number.  ID's in Idaho.  They did not leave a message any of the 3 times, although the gauge shows that there is message time.  Promptly blocked them.  The DNC List appears to be largely ineffective against these calls.

The Do Not Call list works.
The Do Not Call List is NOT a call blocker!

"The DNC List appears to be largely ineffective against these calls." Of course it is because the DNC List is not a blocking service. It requires callers to register and pay for access to the list then screen numbers they wish to call. Criminals like those running this scam are not going to do that are they.

Answered the call and got a recorded message that this was "about my credit card and etc." Well, you know it's phony when they don't ID themselves and just say "your credit card" without being more specific, since most people have more than one C/C even if one of the cards is only for a specific store!

More of that call/hang up foolishness! Grrr!

Please stop calling my cell phone.  Very annoying.  I'm not going to answer your calls.
