Tried to steal money from me

How did this person try to steal your money Joe ? Because I had an ad on wantadvertisers.com for a dog and got contacted by this person named Janet Barbra claiming they wanted my paypal info for immediate payment also my address...

..a bogus Paypal email receipt showing they've transferred the money to you.  Only there is NO payment, just a fake email with your details....

I received a text from this number 208-903-3555 giving me an email address to contact relative to some bulldog puppies that I've been trying to sell.  The email address is janetbabar00@gmail.com.  She indicated in subsequent emails that she wanted to make a quick deal on one of the puppies and have it shipped to her daughter.  She indicated that she was a marine biologist and currently out to sea although.
Her overall approach seemed odd so I checked her out and found this site.
My ad was placed on classifiedads.com if that helps.
Just wanted to give a few details of what happened to me.

Forward the message to 7726.

She messaged me today in regards to my puppies on Kijiji. Also, Kijiji deleted my ad today. What s nightmare.

I too recieved a strange text from this number with an email for a Janet Babra just today. She is emailing me now wanting pictures and wanting to know if the dog is being raised outdoors or indoors! They are 2 week old Chihuahua puppies and I live in Canada. LOL Anyhow, I figured it was dubious as it was from an Idaho area code and she tried to pass herself off as someone from a Kennel in NL.

Recieved a text message from this number regarding my Kijiji Ad for my Chihuahua puppies. The body of the message states she is from a CKC registered Kennel in NL. The area code is Idaho. I emailed her and recieved an emsil asking me if the dog was being raised indoors or outdoors. The puppies are just 3 wks old and I live in Canada. Obvious scammer and I googled her name from Her email Janet Babra and stumbled upon this site.

They are texting me trying to buy my phone off Kijiji for 950$ but before they send the money they are asking for me to ship the phone

Hopefully you know better than that!

Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers will allow you to report unwanted spam texts by simply texting/forwarding it to 7726 (or “spam”) to enable the providers to prevent future unwanted texts from the specific sender.

(If your provider is ATT, try the code "block")
