This # called my cellphone yesterday, and I (who NEVER answers unknown calls) answered.  It's a company called Internet Sales Institute (www.internetsalesinstitute.net).  Basically, you pay them thousands of dollars, and they supply the tools and councelling you need to start an ebay business.  According to my very convincing scam artist, I would make roughly $4000 a month.  Apparently, I'm a gullible idiot, and yes I signed up.
After my initial excitement about making an extra $4000 a month, I realized some things my scam artist said were inconsistent or didn't make sense. Ex: First, he says he's 31 single and has a 5 yr old daughter, and b/c of this program her college is already paid for, and he's only been doing it for 6yrs.  About 45 mins. later, he tells me before he did this program he had a regular 9-5 job, he was living in a house with a roommate and his two kids had to share a room...blah blah blah. Ok, where did the mysterious 2nd child come from. Yea, don't have to be a genius to know that 6yrs ago he was 25yrs old, (wow so am I...what a coinky dink) and his daughter would not have been born yet.
After replaying the convo in my head, I realized I needed to investigate this company.  Honestly, I really couldn't find anything on them. But I did find tons of forums bashing other companies that are selling this start an ebay business crap.  One such company is called Thrive Learning Institute.  So, today I decided to cancel, and get my refund. (I have 3 days to cancel and receive my full refund...no refunds are given after the 3 day rescission.)  I call the number listed on their website 1-866-257-9352.  That chick told me that she didn't handle cancellations, but she would send my info to some guy in another dept. and he would call me back about my cancellation request.  (I might've been a gullible idiot yesterday....but todays a new day!)  So, I ask her when should I be expecting his phone call, and if he doesn't call what's his contact info so that I can harrass him.  She tells me that he will contact me later on today, she will not give me his contact info, and tells me I should just call her number.  I called her back a few times, not expecting anything....I just wanted to annoy her.  Of course mr. cancellation man didn't call me.  So, around 6:30 I have an appointment to speech with my ebay councelor dude to start my business.  But before that, the scam artist who talked me into this mess calls.  I basically explain to him that something came up, and I won't be able to do this business and I would like to cancel and be fully refunded.  He doesn't come out and say I won't be refunded.....he just keeps saying that all my excuses weren't good enough and I didn't try out the program yet.  He insinuated that I was in breach of the contract for not giving the program a chance.  While he's whining at me, my councelor's beeping in.  Mr. Scam Artist tells me that he'll call me back before he leaves the office.  (which of course he doesn't call me back) So, I talked to my councelor, and at first I wasn't really paying attention to what he said to me b/c I was still pissed about Mr. Scam Artist.  He basically showed me some website called focuslc, and explained some of the stuff on it.  After I hung up with him, I realize this focuslc is the actual counceling and learning company.  Internet Sales Institute is just the telemarketing middleman.  So, I try to research focuslc and can't find anything useful.  I decided to google the phone number focuslc councelor dude called me from, and guess what!! it's the same number for Thrive learning Institute (google thrive learning institute scam)!!    My final refund day is tomorrow.....Mr. Scam Artist made it clear that they wouldn't help me cancel.  So I'm off the the bank tomorrow to fix this stupid mess!!!  Mr. Scam Artist's alleged name is Chris Neff.  If you ever run across him, notify me, that way I can pin him down and kick him in the balls repeatedly until I'm completely satistfied!

I've been getting calls from this number about every hour for the last week and don't answer it because I don't know the number. This last time they apparently had thought they'd hung up and left it going while they bs'd with friends, rapped, and yelled stupid stuff. It sounded like some punk teenager. I had like 5 minutes of it, until my voice mail cut it off.
