Did not answer the call.

Calls continously butnever leaves a message.  It is very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not answer.  I don't who is calling

Two other websites are reporting it as the Leukemia Society; they've never left a message, so I can't verify that for sure.  I'm not going to bother calling back; charities do not have to obey the Do Not Call registry, and I'm not getting multiple calls like other posters seem to be getting.  Otherwise, I'd call them and ask them to remove me from their list (at which point they must, and then you can file complaints against them if they continue to call with unreasonable frequency or times of day.

It is the Leukemia Society...every charity can do this...just block their numbers when they call and they can't get through!  Cox has great caller blocking!

Call daily - extremely annoying and not doing the Leukemia Society reputation any good!  I'd never make a donation after being harassed so many times.

Why don't they call Washington DC for handouts, there is no recession or lack of unemployment there.

I've contributed to the Leukemia Society in the past. I will NOT contribute to an organization that is calling me multiple times daily. Pity. They do good work - but their fundraising is downright insulting and offensive.

I told these people that if they call at dinnertime, they get no money.  There are better charities out there who DON'T solicit by phone.

Called today 1:20pm, rang four times and hung up. Left no voicemail.

no message from this number (Idadho area code) but i got a call from a Utah Number yesterday from the Leukemia Society.

I posted the following to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society webpage (@ www.leukemia.org):

A statement, rather than a question.

Your telemarketing fundraiser's calls and unprofessional behavior is driving away more past and potential donors than you may realize.

Your managers/executive board should end your contract arrangement with whatever "professional (sic)" fund raising organization you are currently using.

If you want a broad, informal idea of the numbers of donors that the current telemarketing campaign is driving away, I recommend you do a simple Google search of just a few of the phone numbers that have been haranguing people since at least mid-May.  1-208-991-1209, 1-435-294-1281, and 1-866-323-5429 are just three of the numbers.

The telemarketers call multiple times per day, leave no message, and hang up.

Fess up, you're just a bunch of stingy tight wads.  They're not harassing you, they're trying to reach you!  They call in the morning and you don't pick up so they call you in the evening, you don't pick up so they try back about 3 different days.  If you find the calls annoying, have the gumption to pick up the phone, tell them no and tell them to put you on their do not call list, but don't post these phony messages that you won't donate because they tried to reach you so many times.  You wouldn't have donated if you had answered the phone the first time they called and that's THE TRUTH.

The messages aren't phony, what with caller id, this technique of repeated calling is totally discredited. You should be ashamed of yourself for using such an intrusive method to get donations, and what % of these donations are going towards paying for robodialers and call centers and have NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY CHARITY? Just more money from people that you turn around and use to annoy then some more.

Never -ending calls from Leukemia Society or Lymphoma-Leukemia Society--no message.  Calls received (recently identified only as "Leukemia Society" from the following #'s:

  208-991-1209; 775-319-1592; 702-553-0527; 435-294-1281; 801-618-2059.  I'm going to follow suggestion of previous poster and respond to: Bruny.Lynch@lls.org,  supposedly Nat'l.Dir., Direct Response Fundraiser of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!  We'll see!!??  YES--MOST annoying, and certaintly not "ethical" standard  of practice!!
