Robin Hendry - possibly a scam

agree this is probably a scammer. claiming to be the Rev Mark Johnson trying to arrange a large shipment of merchandise to Ghana

Our Company also received a phone call from this number. He claimed to be John Gaffer with the email address john.gaffer@yahoo.com. They requested a large shipment to be sent to Sweden. They wanted us to use a specific shipping company and wanted us to contact the shipping company by email. This email was Westshippingexpress1@gmail.com. I am so glad I found this post and done my research.

I thought it seemed wierd that they wanted so much shipped from Alaska to Africa.  Glad I checked.

I received an e-mail asking about the products we sell (eye glasses).  It looks like it was written by a third grader, or someone who doesn't speak English.  The name on the e-mail is John Walker, and the phone number is...you guessed it...209-207-6201.

the person calling me from this phone # is also requesting a large shipment going to Ghana.  they have gone so far as to give me three credit card #'s and I have run payment on them.  I am still waiting for the money to be put in my bank.  They also used a # 324-351-6748, and I can not find an area code 324.  The name they are using is Ed Carter and the shipping company is Maiga Express Shipping.  I have also been given two addresses in Salinas and Beverly Hills, attached to this particular phone #.  Here is one address I was given.ED CARTER

I received a call from this phone number wanting me to sell 4 jukeboxes to a Jim Lawson in ANaheim California 3534 Ball Road I think i will mess with the guy a little and have some fun thanks for the information.

Well I had fun at his expense I had him going for 3 days on this deal I could of sold him 6 jukeboxes,I was going to do it and send 3 pallets of junk but I pretty much told him where to go.

I also had a guy named Robin Hendry try and buy a large quantity of tile from me this week he wonted to ship it to West Africa. I found this forum by googleing Robin Hendry thanks for shareing the info.

I didn't look into it too much at first, just simply replied to the email with my quote.

The following email was sent in response which clued me in that this was a scam:

60.000 copies making 120,000 copies and get back to me with the SAM total cost on that so that i can proceed with credit card for payment.

notes:Jeff, i will like you to understand that,this printing will be shipped to my s.o.s home in Sweden,so i like to recommend this shipping company[fascom shipping co.ltd] via email:fascom_shippingexpertco.ltd@rediff.com. for the pick up of the products from you location to the the following address provided on the Art work .so i will like you to contact them via their email,and request a freight quote for shipping the products from your location to the delivery address to Sweden.

The phone number is a California area code.  The address is in Nashville and corresponds to a publishing company.  And he wants me to send the items to Sweden.  How many Reverends do you know that have a home in Sweden?  

Upon further review, the IP address corresponds to a Ghana location.

Basically, they seem to be trolling for people who will hire their "shipping company" and pay for the "shipment" of a large quantity of heavy items.

Great, I spent all day working this a$$ hole up an estimate, of course, using his shipping company, Kay International Shippers, to send pallets of tile to Sweden.  Glad I figured it out now.  Will somebody please put these people out of their misery!!!

I received similar, though when I replied, the email bounced (Note the yahoo rather than gmail address).

I received an email asking for a quote on 60000 fliers and the phone number and address match the one you have in your message.  Though he claims his name is Mark Anderson.  I am glad I looked into this.

I received this email, but they had the same # in their signature line

This is a scam. I have dealt with Robin Hendry and he caused $10,000 in cost to my company. They make their money on the shipping charges. They pay for the product and the shipping with inflated insurance costs with stolen credit cards. They make their money by haveing you wire transfer the payment to the shippers account using the credit card money. Once the scam is busted your money is gone and the credit card company takes there money back. There are a lot of them out there. Robin even had the balls to contact me today regarding another flyer. AMAZING!

He also is using the name Scott Roland - he wants to buy numerous quantities of vacuum pumps from us -
I have also received scams the last couple of weeks from
Lawrence Brown Energy and Water Service, bremart electrics and Virgo Water Service.

Beware everyone!  They are out there!
