Got a call just now (8/6/14 @12:33PM) on our land line from this number.  They are calling from the COMPLETE OPPOSITE COAST; we know NO ONE there.  Let it go to ans. machine, just for 'fun.'  BUT they hung up at the fourth ring, before the machine picked up (we have it to go to 5 rings, which 'discourages' the robodialers and 'confuses' them into thinking its a non-working number.)

No message left.  NO NAME on Caller ID.  LIKELY SPAM.

Ever since losing our landline in an electrical storm two wks ago, and HAVING TO PUT IN A SERVICE CALL WITH **VERIZON** at their PHILIPPINE CALL CENTER, we've been getting INUNDATED with these SPAM CALLS.

THANKS VERIZON.

Just called (2:50 pm edt). Call ID showed Modesto, CA. Only five rings (takes 10 to trigger answering thingie).  We know no-one in CA and the lst relative that lived in CA was a Great Aunt, and she died back in the early 1960's...

Verizon has nothing to do with these calls.

Solar Panels USA; typical Indian call center that can't pronounce my name.  Never had any business with them, never inquired about solar panels for my 120 year old house.  Off to DNC to report.

Stop spoofed number by making a FREE app that detects numbers and traces them so they can be ARRESTED and put in jail without phone usage!

You tell us how the app would work first.  Then we can get a legion of programmers to write it and someone to publicize it.

I really am so very sick of these calls.  Being on a do not call list seems like it does absolutely no good.  If it actually does help, I cannot even begin to imagine how many additional calls I would get.  I have stopped answering anything that does not give at least give a name or that I recognize as being someone I want to talk to.  This number did not fit into that category, and, of course once the answering machine picked up, there was no one there.

Ha!  If I could do that, I would be a highly sought after IT programmer. :)

If you are worried about such things, I suggest you contact a good local patent attorney or patent agent.

Random Robocalling Once answered a Stupid woman said to reduce your interest rate on your credit cards, are you? and I said Noooooooo way your stupidity doesn't convince me, cause you work with a bunch of Scumbags, I hung up.

Selling installation of solar panels

This is the type of automated dialed by a computer call that is driving everyone crazy. The government actually is offering a reward to stop "Robocalls" as they are named....Makes you want to unplug your phone. I got this on my land line. I don't wait to hear the pitch. I hang up right away.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Male caller with Indian or E. Asian accent asking for family member who hasn't been at this number for at least 10 yrs.  When I asked who he was, he hung up.

Got a phone call from this number at 6:09 PM eastern time.  It was 3:09 in California, which is where I think this originated from.  Tried to call them back at 8:03 my time, which is 5:03 their time.  They must be very prompt in leaving and turning off their phone system.  The recording said that this number has been disconnected.  Sounds kind of shady to me so I reported it to the Better Business Bureau and to the police.  They are going to follow up on it and find out what the story is.  That is if they can get through during the day:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Some people just suck!!!!!!!!!  I guess they don't have a life so they have to try and disrupt someone else's.  Feel sorry for them.

Called and my son answered.  They asked for me, but I was not home.  They would not say who they were.
