Called and a recording said that they are considering litigation and gave a file #. Sounds like an old creditor sold my account to someone or a scammer. I didn't call back.

Litigation! Scam, I'm sure. The electronic voice is so bad you can barely understand a word this bogus recording says. It's a male voice that sounds like its been dubbed over with electronic voice so its sounds like it's talking in a barrel.

SCAM, don't answer.

Received phone call for person who had previous phone number over 20 years ago.

I received a call from the number. It is a scam to get you to pay for something that is not true. I did not call the number back.

These people keep calling and if you block them they just call from a different number. They call my cell phone and my home phone just about every day.

I just got another call from this number and they usually call me at the same time, leave a vm and say nothing, i call back and they don't answer!!!! I hate them who ever you are!!!

This number just called me. I did not answer. No voice messages were left.

Debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.
Scammers love to call out of the blue and say all sorts of illegal threats and give out fake case numbers.
The FDCPA requires debt collectors to notify you five days after the initial call by U.S. MAIL, not by email or text, but by MAIL.
After that, you have thirty days to dispute the debt.

This number continues to call and won't stop. I have no idea who they want to talk to or what they want.

True. I had one who called me and gave a case number, Tues out several other people has the same case number. WTH!

Just called left me a message with a case number 372647 stating I have ONE last chance to resolve this matter...blah, blah, blah.    KMA

877-797-1696, 407-530-1013, 717-215-0213, 321-203-5482, 888-265-1785, are all scam phone numbers. This time they wanted to talk to me or my lawyer.

I received a call from 209-264-2621 and said there was a claim against me and they have tried this from many other numbers. I know it is a scam because once I did call and told them I would follow up with the courts and they told me to go ahead because that is where they received my information. I called the courts and nothing had been filed. If it were true I would have been served in person or by mail. Do not answer or they will call you back.
