Caller left no message. Called them back and caller was wanting me to confirm my ssn and address with them. When I would not, they hung up.

Several calls from this number. Never leaves a message.

When I answer the hang up.when I called back said they were busy and can't take the call.so I text them this msg. It was received. I hope others do this. This is my msg. Sent " have a daily record of your calls.my phone automatically records so when I play each call to gov. Agency it is to me a threat and am having you investigated for possible terrorist "

Thus number called me it was voice automated said I was wanted for tax fraud. When I called them back they told me I was under investigation for tax fraud for an address I lived at nearly 13 yrs ago as I continued speaking to them the agent said well hasn't the LA police department contacted you to let you know you would be arrested HUH? Was my response he was not happy and he started yelling at me that I was gonna be arrested and serve 3 yrs in prison LOL if he only knew that we as Americans are smarter than them and know procedure on how IRS contacts us.

Answer phone call, they click in, and then hang up

This has been going on for months. Just started keeping track of these calls in Jan 2016.  Had 4 calls in 3 days, 2 in one day. Always in the morning between 9 and noon. Located in Lodi, Merced, Modesto area of Calif.

Just received a call. Didn't answer. Called back said " hello, this is George. " I just hung up. I get calls with no voicemail.

(209) 266-7098 called and left no message, and as we know this is not the most helpful info but at least, you know who these people are and what you do is block them.

call me at least 10 times a day from different phone numbers within the 209 area code. finally got sick of it and decided to google this phone number. Thank god I did. Blocking all of the numbers they call from!!!

These HFS people call everyday! I have blocked two other numbers they call from and they just come up with a different number. I answer and say "hello" they just clank the phone down. I hope they stop very irritating.

One of several numbers used in a scamming network. If you have a call reject feature on your device, use it. Its an auto-dialer. After enough heat, these people just change numbers and continue the same BS. Until the FTC or other entity decides to hammer down on these annoying [***], its about all you can do.

I received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago.  The caller ID showed 209-266-7098 but they left a call-back number of 267-881-0053.  They were actually stupid enough to leave a voicemail, which my phone converted to text.  It's a complete scam.  You can tell from their lack of basic knowledge about our country.  Such as the fact that the US Treasury doesn't bring legal action against individuals, we don't refer to our Judiciary Judges as "Magistrate Judge" and a Grand Jury is not involved in determining guilt or innocence in the US Court system and when they are required the prosecutor is in control of the proceedings and there is no judge involved.  And there's the small fact that I've had my taxes prepared professionally since 2002 and am certain that I have no IRS tax issues and I stopped counterfeiting $2 bills decades ago (just kidding).  :-)

SOLUTION: I created a contact in my phone with the first name SCAM, last name CALLS, add the phone number they used to call me, and where it lets me select "Mobile", "Home", etc. I select "CUSTOM" and enter the date they called (ie "09-02-16").  When done, I click the menu option "Add to Auto reject list" in my Note 4.  Any future calls from that number will be unable to ring my phone, will not show up as a notification, and will not be directed to voicemail.  In the future, when they switch to another number I add that one as contact "SCAM CALLS" second phone entry and just keep adding numbers to that single Contact.  Hope this helps.

This number keeps calling me so I called back, and they have my whole name and I don't know how they got my name, but found out it's a scam when i search this number on here, so now I'm bored, I'm gonna harass them back for waking me up at 8 in the morning 😂

I actually don't receive a message.  I answer the phone (this is my work number) and they just hang up.  They call at least once a day.  There's a part of me that want's to call the number back but I've been down this road before.  I had my bank representative listen in on a call that tried to pressure me for money.  If you can get anything out of these people at all (and if you have copious amounts of time to track this stuff down,which I did at the time), you can report it to the Department of Consumer Affairs both in your state and possible the state where the call is originating from.  It's a small comfort but it's something.
