This is a new number for the Foundation for American Vets, NOT A CHARITY I WOULD GIVE A PLUG FAKE KNUCKLE SANDWICH TO.

Ok, you asked for the name of the charity and they said "Foundation for American Vets," good. You need to ask for the name of the charity fundraiser when they call, and when they say "AC Services think their aka Associated Community Services" and demand to be placed on their "internal do not call list."

You can also do a google search under the Washington Secretary of State's government website. Search "sos wa  Foundation for American Vets" results are a Michigan charity https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail.aspx?charity_id=20279 showing their fundraiser also is in Michigan https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=364 showing many of the charities they solicit for.

When your demands are ignored and they keep calling but under another disguise of another charity your complaint and demand should be under all "databases" Your next complaint and demand should be google search "michigan attorney general's trust division," taking you to http://www.michigan.gov/ag/0,4534,7-164-17337_18095---,00.html and look for file complaint.

I didn't have to ask them anything because the free call blocker endorsed by the FCC/FTC blocked them.  I never spoke to anybody. Please read my posting more carefully.  If you don't know who the free call blocker is, it's the one that this site keeps bleeping out.  Such a good service should not be bleeped out and we should be able to discuss its merits in these forums.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I have my parents mid to late 80's on call blocker but to stop the calls from predatory charity fundraisers like AC Services aka Associated Community Services I do more. About 6:30p PST on 31 March 2016 semi-automated message (voice response?) telling me an envelope was coming and I needed to donate money to their veteran's cause.  Not a real person. though it sometimes sounded like it. Now blocked.

4/19/16 10:32 PDT Add to growing list of garbage.  No ID, area code 209 (usually scammers spoofed) and no message.

Received hang up in voicemail.  Number blocked.

Another hand up from FAV.  I keep blocking their number and either they are changing it or getting through somehow.  Will block it once again.

If you have Voice over internet phones call your provider and ask them for the free automated call blocker

Foundation for American Veterans  which according to Charity Navigator  "This organization is not eligible to be rated by Charity Navigator because it does not meet our required tax status of being a 501(c) (3) public charity"  In other words you would be better off mailing your money to the Nigerian Prince or flushing in down the toilet

4/25/16  12:39 PDT  Another option, is to not answer any call from area code 209, since, by far, the majority are garbage   calls and if they aren't they will leave a message.  Will also try the unmentionable report site.  Verizon FiOS blocker used to work well but since Frontier Commun. took over, nothing having to do with the phone is working correctly.

Called early this morning, waking me up from a sound sleep. Left no message. Caller ID said FAV. Now blocked.

4/30/16 9:17 PDT Just tried again to call me.  As usual, did not answer but now I have a call blocker and will attempt to stop them.  They did not leave a message, but can guess with a 209 area code.

Caller ID said FAV, no message.....onto the blocked list you go.  (until they spoof a different number)

The cid showed "fav" and phone number 209-435-9274.  Left no message.
Block it.  Hide your money.
