Called at 12noon on 1/7/15.  Left message in heavily accented indian that the irs was after me with a warrant and to call bla-bla-bla.  These thieves have used this con for so long it was actually funny to listen to...

call in heavy accent, couldn't place it because the reception was awful, saying the IRS had an arrest warrant yada yada yada

Called him back and told him my husband was a cop (complete BS on my part) and that s.o.b. hung up so fast my head almost spun. I have now taken it upon myself to harass thee living hell out of him. I leave voicemails and everything. Lots of fun to harass those trying to scam people out of their hard earned money.

I got this message this morning and called back. The voice message answered and I left a message that my husband is also a Federal Gov. Officer and I told him that if I have to respond for any IRS investigation, send me a written letter.

I got more than 4 phone calls from this number, the last call was this morning - @ 6:25am. I was really really mad !!
I called him back right after, the thief answered and he asked my name, but DID NOT tell him my name. He told me he is looking for my husband - somehow he knows my husband name. So, I told him that YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW YOU CAN REACH MY HUSBAND. HE IS A FEDERAL OFFICER. IF YOU ARE A FEDERAL OFFICER, YOU COULD LOCATE HIM. WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME ???
Then, the thief hung up the phone.

Indian guy called left number With IRS. Sounds like same guy who called 4 months ago. Be sure you block your number and call him back with a "message". I'm going to report him again to IRS office across street.

Call from Officer John White of the IRS Services requesting physical address and details of back taxes.  He left this number to return his call today (1-14-15).  This type of call happened several months ago but a different number.

Guy called Monday Jan. 12, I was out of town, and left msg which said he was IRS, Officer John White, and they have an arrest warrant for me. Had to listen to msg. several times to make out what was going on.

IRS scam.  Didn't listen to the message.

Received a call from this scammer number 209-487-9566, The [***] indian scam artist, trying to have you return this call to obviously take information from you, do not fall for this SCAM, i will report them through the proper Authoritys, this is a federal crime, my neighbor is a cop and i will forward him this information. AGAIN IS A SCAM DO NOT EVEN BOTHER!

I got the IRS scam call Jan 27, 2015 in California. I also got this same call twice before in the last couple of weeks
It's a recorded message saying there is an IRS arrest warrant for me at my address. He has a Middle Eastern accent and wants me to return the call at (209) 487-9566. I was finally able to understand the phone number he was saying. Hopefully people who believe this scam won't be able to understand the number he is saying either and will just call the IRS instead.

This SPAMMERS!!!! There has to be a law to take them down. But I bet they are calling from foreign countries. Idiots!!!!

I guess they picked the right number out of the hay with you ms Chris as well as ms Stephane. I really hope that your contacts can do something. I find it really sad what this world is coming to and hope that there are still more decent people out there then these thieves

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
