i was left 2 messages and was called at work about a court case involving my ss#. the call came from califorina. i have no idea what is was a bout . i called the man back and he hung up on me cause he said i was shouting. the 2 messages he left were rude and demanding i call him "now". i tried to call back and someone keeps disconectin g the call.

This may be a scam. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

I got a call from the same number and I tried calling back and to find out what it was about. Tammy thanks fo the info. Trust me if he calls back I will give him a piece of my mind.  I am glad I googled it. Now I know the truth its a scamm.

Just got a call myself for the same thing from some guy named Ricky. He called my work and I can get fired for this. I tried to call back but no one answered the phone, I did report this to the Tonawanda Police Dept. before I think I will again. They are scams

This is a scam.  They threaten you with the police or legal action if you don't give them a specified amount of money.  Don't give them any information.  Report them to the police.

Same thing happening to me. I man named Ricky calling my house and spoke to my wife. He told her that he needed to talk to me about a legal issue involving my ss#. He called around 745am. Thanks for the input. Made me feel better.

The loser from 209/498-0913 is the same loser that has a 347 area code - he is changing numbers - it says the call is from California now but it is for sure the same loser - Don't give these people any money at all - they are hackers - their information has been given to the FBI and CIA - they have also said they are from an insurance company white and case and they are attorneys -

They are total losers and hackers from a foreign country - don't give them any info - ignore their calls.

I have received phone call from 209-498-0913. Thank God I googled the number and found this. When they called back I told them if they had any legal problem with me then they needed to file something in the courts and let the courts find me. I also told them that I have turned everything over to my local police department and if they continue to call or use any information then I will seek legal action. The guy hung up on me. Please people think twice before giving any information. I have already contacted the credit bureaus to see what step I need to take. I don't know if they really have my ssn, but I'm not willing to take that chance.

These people are calling threatening me for a lawsuit and that I had to come to New York and go to court for fraud. I have no loans no problems that would result in such action. It is becoming beyond harassment.

how does he know my name he said the issue at hand is time sensitive and if he doesnt hear from me or my attourney of racket? wtf is an attourney of racket? all he has to say to me is wish you good luck and the situation at hand unfolds on me . this [***] is being read from some type of skit  and i dont think they know how to read  he said his name was nick nailer trust me its a [***] scam i called them back they wanted my zip code and phone number i mean cmon you called me and dont know my phone number [***]

They called me today,  They called is the 5 time but from a different number.   You can tell them the following and they will stop from one number and call from different number in about two month.

Said them you have contact the state attorney office california and they are going to fill feds chargers at them.  They will hangup and leave you a loan.

Wow. This is crazy. The same rude "indian origin" (PC?) people have called me & my wife everyday several times. Glad I googled it and saw what you nice people had to say. Unfortunately for them, I am a 17-year vetran of our State's Criminal Law Enforcement Division & I have just contacted our local United States Prosecutor General's office and told a friend of mine there what is going on. Very tough to get much done across state lines, but he will look into it for me. DO NOT give them any personal information or even the time of day. The operators are extremely rude & aggressive. Our credit is perfect & I would have know if court proceedings were being brought against me long before a creditor would. I have called the 209-498-0913 number twice & told the operator that I had all of their personal information & was in the process of filing Felony Criminal charges of Harasssment by Telephone, & that I was put if fear of my families safety (not in fear, but that is the core element to getting results from Law Enforcement. I just put a call in to one of my friends at  our local FBI field office. Since these actions are crossing state lines, this is now a Federal Offense. Can't seem to get a single operator to talk to me now! LOL. Good Luck folks! REMEMBER-DO NOT CURSE AT THEM-this will only weaken you case & make you seem desperate.

Most definately a hoodwink operation of scam artists.

They are saying attorney of "record".   It took me about 5 calls to realize this.    These people have been calling my work since 2009 threatening me.   I have been threatened so many times in the last 2 years I can't remember them all.   They were going to get me fired from my job, they were coming to remove me from work, and the last one that called was an obsene call.   He was panting and moaning.   It's disgusting.    Why are they still calling after all this time??    I would have thought by now they would give up and realize they're not getting any $ out of me.   I just got a call this morning only from a woman this time.   Told her the same thing I've been saying for years.   I'm not giving you a dime.   They are nothing but lowlifes.... why can't they be stopped???

I also got a call from this person telling me to call Gerald Marshall. When I call it was a guy on the phone claiming he was a lawyer and I need to handle a loan which I never took out and that I can go to jail. i told him it's not me. Then he hung the phone up on me when I call back they kept hanging up. This is the second number that call me I look up the number again just like the first on then i found this site which is a big help, it let me know someone is hacking into our computer and getting our information and trying to us it against us. This is very bad, so people be careful.

I received the exact same phone call on my cell number and they are saying attorney of record.  They were calling my home number but I had it changed and unlisted private number so they can't get it again. But this is a BIG scam I have also reported it to the police department but at that time the calls were coming from a Texas phone number.  I think they are using a phone called a MagicJack that you can get at Radio Shack and pick any phone number and area code they want.  So people BEWARE they are just trying to get money from you.  The police said they could possibly be a terrorist cell sounds outrageous but scared me. Just don't talk to them or return the phone call.  Good luck everyone!

i have been receiving calls from the same numbers stating they will come to my work and get me. That i needed to be in CA on Monday or i would have criminal charges against me... This is a lie.... I have contacted the local police departement and filed a report, i has also contacted homeland security they are investigating it and i had every phone i own cell and home all tapped so every thing can be traced..... The number has changed many times... please give feed back
