This is the first number I was called by and the scammer wanted my wedding dress and when I checked out the money orders they were fake so when I told him that he threatened my life and the cops were called and reports were made.  He's going to get caught.

I got text today saying she wanted for her daughter & would pay an extra $30 for me to hold the dress. She said she used to live in my city but moved to Ohio for work, I knew the text phone number was a California exchange so I Googled the phone number, and came across your post can you tell me anything else that happened. I don't know if I can report since she has done anything wrong yet even though I'm sure the intentions are there. Thanks

He called again, asked if i got the check. i told him i never gave him my info to even send a check. he then told me he would cut my tounge out. i reported it to the police but there is not much they can do since he is from california. it def freeked me out though. im def done with craigslist! this guy is probably some creep trying to scare young girls.

i got a txt asking me to hold my dress that he used to live in my city but moved to Utah for a security job,told me he would send an extra 30 for my trouble! im so happy i looked up this number and found this site,saved me alot of money!!! thank you all

i got the same message twice told them i reported them to the IC3 hope they will stop texting

I just got a text from the same person saying he lived in my city and moved to Utah for a job. Said he pay my price and add $30 if I held it . I'm glad I looked i just got the text today

I got the same text wanting to buy my wedding dress. he said he would send me money to hold the dress and pay all the shipping costs. a few days later he sent me to fake money orders. i told him i wasnt falling for his scam. he threatened me through txt messages saying if he didnt receive the money he would make sure i was dead in 24 hrs...  this guy is a creep and big-time scammer... find a real job!!!

Says hes a Utah Security Agent and is not in the City right now. I have seen this type before poor english no grammar small i's likley African that is where most scams come from wanted to send Postal Money Orders. I said Cash in person or Bank Cashiers Checkthen he talked about a shipper.I sent my address and he said is on the way take my payment send the rest to his shipper, then a get a new message as if we never spoke wanting my email address his name Jacob Calderon.
Then next message to a new # 909 3336407 said payment sent if I dont get it in 2 days he will stop payment
he writes back with shiping tracking number I now today get the mail and the tracking number is what he gave and the name and address are David Fink I get his number and talk to him - hes not in busineses he does not have a shipping account did not send me a check (he is honest retired lives in gated community)
but someone does know him.
The person he wants the money sent to is Esta Barbanell 320 Columbus New Hven CT. 06510
So, I am making a complaint to the FBI this Esta will be in a surprise and am sure Jacob Calderon is not her boy friends real name. Its a home printed check on a companys account I bet neither work there.

Just had the same scammer text me and I am so grateful to you all for creating this blog.  Saved me a lot of time and headache.  Is there somewhere I should be calling to report this guy?

Same thing just happened to me. Who should i contact?

This same exact thing is now happening to me, I was dumb enough to give him my address for the check and am now a little worried about him having my information... What should I do??

I just got a text message from this person also & it was the same situation about wanting my dress for there daughters wedding. They said they would pay the amount I am asking plus $30 to hold it for them. I hot kind of suspisious so that's when I googled the number & found this website. Thanks to everybody that put your comments on here.

Received a text message he wrote: "What is the size of the dress and its last asking price." After I read this comments about this number. Told him sold it already...

So this happened to me, however i was mailed a business check priority mail, via usps. The woman never        
stated how much more she was sending along with the agreed amount for the wedding dress. So the remaining amount to the shipper. I deposited the check it cleared and i almost sent the money to the
shipper via money gram but felt uncomfortable. Did a seas came across the site and contacted my bank. Now there is an investigation being done. I had them to reverse the money back to the original account. BEWARE....

This guy is going strong... Received a text message he wrote: "What is the size of the dress and its last asking price."  - right away i knew something was wrong because my ad clearly states the size and the phone number area code is not local.. NEVER EVER deal with someone not local.  ANYTHING remotely suspicious.. discontinue contact immediately.  Please pass the message along to other's that will fall for this kind of scam.

WOW!! He's still out there. His name is now John Peck. lol. I was leery from the start so I gave him a PO Box of a town I have connections in, but not a real PO Box just in case. He gave me a tracking number and said the money order was already mailed, but the day the check is supposed to arrive he asked again how much the dress was for. I thought the name John Peck was an author, so I googled Esta Barbanell and found this site. Thank you all so much for posting!! He has used two of the numbers mentioned, but sent the last few messages from 971-248-0524.
