Some Indian guy called from a call center saying my windows computer had sent them my information and that they needed to speak with the owner.

I keep getting phone calls from them.  It is a scam they want personal information. They just got an earful from me and hung up.

Indian woman saying she was "calling from technical department of windows, ok?" i told her to "get a real job, ok?" and then hung up. It is the scam where they will ask for a credit card and do nothing but steal from you.

got a Call from an Indian woman asked me to go to my computer to help with my technical difficulties.  Claimed to be from Microsoft! But when I asked her who owned Microsoft she hung up?

Left empty VM, but background noise indicated it's a call center environment.

Got a call from an Indian guy telling me about my computer with virus !!! Asked him if he is calling me about his own virus ....Syhilis , Gonorrhea and HIV infection ......he did not say a word just hanged up !!!

Got a call today  from a guy who  sounds like an Indian guy telling me about virus in my computer  and they can help me get rid of the virus ! I asked him if he is calling me about his virus ! He did not say a word , hung up

How can you prevent these calls?  I've received three calls now.

Invest in a call blocker or turn off answering machine and let the phone ring. Try blocking the number as well.

Foreign guy calls about my computer having a virus and spam, wants more information. He knew my first name...creepy.  I told him I would not give him any information about my computer or anything else. Told him if he was legit he would be able to send me documentation in the mail. If he knew my phone number and my name then he probably has my address too. He hung up.

Woman caller got my answering machine and said one word "goodbye".

Phone range at 6:50 AM.  I picked up after one ring.  Computer-generated woman's voice said, "Goodbye."

Tell these guys that your computer takes a long time to boot up.  Then leave the phone off the hook.  That will slow them down a bit.

Attempted to call my cell phone earlier this morning. Call blocked by my cell phone app because the number is not in my contact list.

Oh man - I LOVE these calls!  I always answer unknown calls by saying "my county's name" County Sheriff's office, how may I direct your call?"  Stupid telemarketers get all flustered, say sorry and hang up.  What a hoot!   And, yeah, I'm bored some days!!

Or, if I am feeling particularly cranky that day, I just yell at them to get a real job, quit trying to scam people, whatever.  Still fun!

Scammer / Phisher wanting personal information.

Didn't answer left no message. Tried to call back recording said we can not complete you call as dialed please again. So maybe change my answer message to to one about your are being trace.

Indian guy with heavy accent pretending he is from the security department of windows and he wants to clean my viruses from my computer because he saw them on his survey equipment

I got a call from this number from a foreign speaking person who claimed they were from Windows Technical Department when I asked them to send me an email from Microsoft proving their identiy they hung up.  This is a bogus company who only want money for a service that does not exist. The caller would not give me the name of the company they work for. But kept on insisting they were connected with Microsoft.  Microsoft does not make these calls.  So please do not give them any information.
