- Tim| 2 repliesGot a text saying I have an inactive debit card. When I returned the call, I was asked for my debit card number. The text came from 530088@achieve.com. The website is illegitimate. Achieve debit cards are issued through achievecard.com. I have never signed up for a card from them, so I do not know how they ended up with my number. However, the text came from a site THAT IS NOT the actual achievecard website. Caution, I smell a scam.

- karebearI received a text from 434258@restore.com with the message "Your 16 digit number card is locked. Call 2097325672." Which confused me because I dont have any kind of card from Restore or any credit cards for that matter but I did call to try to give this person a piece of my mind but it was a "24 security automated" call which instructed I need to verify 3 security questions when low and behold the very first question it asks is for a 16 debit card number........and so I tried to bypass it by pressing 0 or # which if this was legit it would transfer me to someone not keep repeating for a 16 digit number......and Im not stupid enough to fall for that so I gave up and hung up then I tried looking for the restore.com website which doesnt exist so I conculded this is a scam in a form of a text which is new to me, I have been lucky until now not receiving any....I wish I could get my number removed from there text/call list. I hope someone can catch these people!

- ScottIt is a scam. The attempt is to get your ACTUAL credit card number. They will ask for your security code as well. It is the same type of scam that has been going around the Internet saying your visa/Discover card has been locked due to suspicious activities on your account. There is another scam using prepaid cards as well in attempt to get your prepaid card number so they can clear out your account. Good to see suspicious people checking things out. Hope others don't get scammed and a stop can be put to this!

- DamianThanks to whoever had this idea!!
I did the same 'Googleing' thing for this same text message that I just received... scumbag-dirtballs that they are.... and found myself here, just like the rest of you guys.
Anyways... thanks for the place to keep this kinda info handy,
Damian - KJLI received a text from 530@achieve.com stating 530088xxx card is locked. Call 209-732-5672
I called it and like everyone else who called it asked for the 16 digit card number. Figured it was some sort of guessing game so I entered 16 digits it then asked to press #1 if correct and #2 if incorrect. I had a feeling that 1111 1111 1111 1111 wasn't correct so I pressed #2 and tried again 2222 2222 2222 2222 and so on. Finally the computer stated "invalid number" and went the call ended. Nothing about transfering to a live person or anything.
I think many people should do the same thing to keep the line tied up from someone who might not know this is a scam. Just make sure not to enter a valid MC/Visa/Discovery number though.- Caller: Achieve.com
