Received call this afternoon.  No message left.

Unknown Caller on Caller ID. No one spoke up when I answered the phone. I could hear back ground noise but eventually after saying hello 3 or 4 times, I hung up.

Received a call from 209-788-3200 / Caller ID displayed "LOCAL OFFICE"
Local office of what?  I did not answer the call as we have been receiving many solicitations from a company we no longer do business with and YES I had asked them not to call us again.  However, THIS call went to the answering machine and they hung up but left the "dead dial tone" sound on the recorder.

I answered and just got clicking noises. Said "hello" a few times but nothing, so I hung up. Had caller ID "Local Office."

I answered and at first there was no sound, then just a static sound so I hit the pound key about 20 times.  I called the number back and a recorded female voice said "One moment please" so I hit the pound key again. I don't know if that does anything when you call a computerized number, but it made me feel better ;)

Calls, doesn't leave a message. Do not answer, it's a fake call.

Have received two more calls from the same number - I let the machine answer and all that is there is the "dead dial tone".  That is so loud and obnoxious.  After the 2nd call, I added this number to our phone's list of Blocked Numbers.  Unfortunately it only holds 30 numbers.  This number called again today but our phone disconnects the call.

Got this call on my cell phone, and it was a hang-up call. I called the number from a landline, because I have heard of a scam that a local number is displayed on your cell phone, but when you hit redial, you end up calling a very expensive toll call to an offshore scammer. They try to keep you on the line since you are being charged by the minute. The recording, a female voice that I also heard saying, "One moment please," may simply be a ploy to keep you on the line racking up phone charges. Check your bill when it arrives for phony charges from this number. A legitimate company does not "spoof" their number (say it's local when it is not), although credit collectors and solicitors often do this to fool people into answering their phones. If you get a local or nearly local area code, you are less likely to think it's a collector or a solicitor than if they use their toll-free number. They know you may answer an unknown local number, but not an unknown toll-free number.

I called them back and they asnwered...One moment please... Then some man asnwered saying COllection Agency.... THe phone number is based in Stockton California.
