Received a call claiming the IRS is filing a law suit against me. The IRS would not process a complaint this way.

Complete bull. This is a total scam and someone needs to report this number to the IRS And the FBI

Same as above. Foreign guy said he was an officer and was asking for personal information in order to pull up a "case file" for the lawsuit. I asked why nothing has been sent to me in writing, he kept asking for information.

just received a call from this number saying that the IRS is filling a law suit against me and to please call this number 209 813 0138 inmediatly when I call the number I can't get in touch with no one is an automated machine that will tell you that they are trying to meet your party and then he goes busy sound so that ring the bell that is a scam and the IRS need to know about this.

I got the scam IRS voicemail this morning saying I should consider this my final notice and a lawsuit has been filed against me.  I called the 209 813 0138 number to get the details.  The male that answered had a long conversation with me. First we spoke in English and then I detected a Northern region of India accent English accent so we changed to Punjabi.

The caller had about an 8th grade education and admitted that he had only worked for the company for a short period but he felt that he should pick another line of work.  He needed the money and it did not seem to be that bad of a thing.

This is clearly a scam and please do not give any personal details.

I received a call this morning from this number. The recording said the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Given that all my taxes are paid up, I knew this had to be some kind of scam. I called the number and the line was busy. The IRS generally contacts people by U.S. mail if there is a problem.

Got the same call this morning, 3-6-2015.  Very funny phone message. They kept pronouncing IRS in the past tense. As in IR- Essed  and Internal Revenue Serviced. By the way, the voice was an automated woman's voice. THIS IS A SCAM PHONE CALL.                                           DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY

Called and left a message.  I know its a scam so called them back (I like to have fun this way).  First they answer "Hello" (real professional for the IRS if it was).  Then I stated that I received a message to call to call this number then they say "IRS Department".  Proceed to tell them to "go ahead and sue me a**hole!" and hung up.

Seriously thinking of harassing the guy at 3 AM.  Would love for him to file a compliant against me - then I would get to know who the loser is!

IRS ONLY contacts you via mail for this reason.

They called to say lawsuit was being filed and that the sheriff would be arresting me tomorrow morning if I didn't pay $1200.00.  Called my accountant he said was scam.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

This is the second call I get in 2 weeks.  First from 1-779-552-6416 from a guy named Anthony White and now this number today regarding "final notice" for a fraud filing against me.   Very disturbing even though I pay my due taxes and have read that this is just a scam.   I am going to report both....
