Looks like they are making calls, starting on Nov 25 2013. Quick internet search said some music store in CA, but it's a credit telemarketer/robocall.  Just don't answer!!

Wierd. Received call around 10 am 11/25/13

someone from Manteca, California. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. No voicemail was left.  Must not have been that important.

Thank you all for message, first thing i thought of bad news from family in cal. First thing i did was look up no.  also no answer nor massage left.

Received a call today from this number, started with a robo recording that sounded like one of the credit card companies I use. The recording said that there is a limited time offer to lower the interest rate on your credit card, if interested press #1.  When I pressed #1 a guy with and accent immediately picked up, and there was a lot of "call center" racket in the background. The guy said, "do you want to check on the interest rate lowering offer" I asked credit card are you asking about and what is the offer. He kept repeating himself and then said he said there are multiple cards he could disucss with me, but he wanted to start witha particular Visa card. He said he needed to verify if I had the card with me - by this time I figured that this was a scammer, so I kept playing stupid and asking him which of my cafrds was he calling me about. After about 1-2 minutes he hung up. If I call the number back it always gives a busy signal.

Didn't recognize the number, no message left. Call came in just before 10am central

I'm glad I didn't pick up after reading these post. Don't bother with it .

scam!!!!!! i gave him my info & am now wondering what my next steps are....i have cancelled the card # that i gave him, he has the last 4 and my zip, should i call the bureaus?

Automated call, press 1 to find out more about lowering your credit card interest  rare to 6.9%.  Asked them which card, they named several.  I said and which card are you calling in reference to.  They said the one with $ 3000.00 in debt.  I told them that there weren't any and they disconnected.

Received a call from this number about 20 minutes ago...did not answer, no message left.

Also got this call about an hour ago.  Didn't recognize so didn't answer.  No message left.  Same deal as everyone else.  Sounds like a "November 25th" initiative--all calls today, seems like . . .

10:01. Caller id said Janis Music Co.  Did not answer...left no message.

two calls so far within a half hour of each other, have not answered and they left no message

My phone said the call came from Manteca, CA.  They called around 8:38 AM EST...that would make it 5:38 AM in California.  Seemed kind of an odd time for a music store to call.  They didn't leave a message.

This is a SCAM.  They reported to be from a credit card company and were offering me a promotional interest rate on my account.  They asked for my expiration date on my account and then after a bunch of rambling they asked for the middle 8-digits of my credit card number.  I got suspicious and asked them for a number I could call them back at and they rambled on about how they were not asking for any information that isn't on my bill and that my account is completely secure but my mothers maiden name, security code, etc, etc...   When I insisted that I wanted a number to call back they hung up.  

FYI - I called my credit card company and they confirmed that they were not offering this deal and that it was a scam!
