found it in a response to my craiglist ad.

Were you selling something (Craigslist?) I have a reply and this phone #. Wondered if it was ligit.

It's not legit. My Dad just had the same guy respond to a Craigslist ad, Googled it, and this guy is everywhere with the same phone number / same response.

Unfortunantely, I replied to this guy with my info about Craigslist ad I had placed. He wanted to buy, but I told him not to send cashiers ck. That I wasn't selling to him. He sent ck. for over 5x the amount. What a scam. He talks very illitterate. Uses words like "cos",etc. Talks about his "secretary". Tells me he has to come "down" to Canada, when his phone is from California. Learned my lesson.

I traced his location to Russia, Moscow area. Same old story.........having his secratary mail a certified check, then asks for your address, email, phone number. He responded to an ad that I placed on Craigslist. The phone number traces back to Stockdale California, Modesto area. It's a land line. In this case he used the name Kevin Roberto & his email is kevinroberto70@gmail.com

It's not legit  Craigslist scammer

This is FRAUD, im also trying to sell something on Craigslist and he was the first to respond at 4am in the morning with the same bable about his secretary sending a cashiers check and his mover was going to stop by to pick it up. There is no money here people and your goods will be gone!! His name is Kevin Roberto from 209.846.1327

Its a SCAM
He will send you a PHONEY Cashiers check for more than your asking price and expects you to send him the difference.
Make him send you the check tell him you never received it (REALLY PISSES HIM OFF) and hand it over to the Secret Service.

I sent a resume in response to an assistant position on craiglist. Same sort of thing, he said he would love to meet me for an interview but that he would be out of town until Feb. He said he needed some one to do his errands for him and would send me $300 a week to handle various jobs, shopping and sending things. Thought it was weird.

Haley - same thing happened to me. Sent a resume - got the same response as you.

I got the same thing, i forwarded my resume && got back that he is in Australia till Feb. && he will send me $300 a week to receive his mail && send it where he needs it sent, i google the number && found this, it seemed all to good to be true, sending someone you dont even know.. money?? If its too good to be true it probably is.

The person who had this number is Nigeria, not in Australia. He goes by the name of Richard Jack, he claims he is a builder doing a project for private investors. He was on lava a place. Actually if you call this number his voice mail is on. He claims he lives in Escalon California.

same thing here, Richard Jack, Escalon Calif. A Construction Engineer and later had to go to Nigeria for about four months for a job. I talked to him on the phone for over a month same number as all the rest lisited above. We met on Date Hookup. He supposely has a  daughter, which said Hi to me on the phone, but that was it no conversation. He told me that she was thirteen but sounded more like ten or eleven yrs old. He should be back in Feb. He always has voicemail on and then will call  the  person back.
