This appears to be yet another attempted scam using scare tactics that the IRS has filed a lawsuit for criminal prosecution. I received two calls yesterday, neither of which I answered but in doing some internet research, it appears that others have also received calls from this number.

We received a call today saying our number was under federal investigation. It was a recording. I called back and got a woman who could barely speak English and I couldn't understand her. I asked to speak to someone else and she hung up on me

Recorded call that wasn't entirely intelligible.  Did understand something about a magistrate court.  Silly scare call that I wasn't about to respond to.

We receive calls from this multiple times a day.  It is extremely annoying and bothersome. Guy  says his name is David Quinn, and rattles a bunch of BS about ignoring the call will be avoiding a 2nd attempt by the US Treasury and that we need to respond or face magistrate and some other ridiculousness.

the number is a scam..please do not respond. they ask money by saying that you are behind on your taxes for the year 2011.

Got called five times within an hour.  When I called back to get info it seems I asked too many questions and they hung up.  Both persons I spoke to (make and female) had heavy accents (appeared to be from India region).  Be careful.

Big time scam and they can't even debate with you without hanging up. Let al!one speak decent english

9/11/15 11:53 PDT  Not the first call of this sort.  A very Indian or Pakistani accent claiming to be David Grey and saying I need to call back to avoid prosecution by the IRS.  Knew right off the bat that this was a scam call.  Where the hell is Gustine  CA.  That was the ID.  Background was an echo chamber noise.  These are not crank or prank calls.  They are outright fraud and we need to be able to shut them down for good!!  I'm sorry that I am old school and refuse to bow to these crooks.  Simply refuse to answer the phone and then report here all of these frauds.

9/11/15 12:56 PDT  Second call from this crap number in about an hour.  Last time left threatening message about a suit pending against me.  This time,  no message.  Am about to add to blocked list.  Fed up to the teeth with this garbage.  Have a feeling now may be calling from prison since area code includes Lodi, CA

Received call from this number at approx 3:50 PM.  Don't know anyone in Gustine, CA (which is over in the San Joaquin Valley, if memory serves me) so just disconnected the call.  Per the above calls a couple of months ago I received a call from a person  with a heavy east Indian accent, who very officiously said I was under criminal investigation.  When he asked  me to confirm who I am, told him I was Elizabeth Windsor (Queen of England) and told him he was a sorry piece of humanity and not to call me again.  He had called me five times in succession - because I had disconnected each of the immediately preceding calls.  At least the creep didn't call me at midnight. Gotta get a call blocker that works.

I received a call from this number twice & am sure it's a scam so do not wish to be bothered by him.

Keeps calling,  I asked him to stop.  He said no,  I threatened to report him to the police for harassment. He said go ahead. I told him to remove my number from his list.  He said no,

Woman called by the name of Sara Jade claiming to be from the US Treasury and wanting to collect on a legal tax penalty.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!  Do not give any personal information to this person.

These people have called me three times today, and one yesterday pretending to be from the US Treasury stating that this was concerning a very serious issue, and there was now a case pending against us because we had not responded to their first phone call.  The IRS will NEVER contact you by telephone.....they will contact you by mail.  Besides that their phone number registers from Gustine, Ca. and there is also a phone # from New York that they also use.  If it were the IRS they would be calling from the Government in Washington, D.C.  They go by the names of Sara Jade, David Grey, and James Harris.  This is a terrible scam.  Do NOT give them any kind of personal information.  You can tell them that what they are doing is against the law, and that you will report them.
