Robo call saying it was from the IRS and not to disregard this message.

I am a tax preparer and my child works for the IRS.  I was driving and the same robo as stated above left a message.  I called back because I NEEDED there ID number so I could speak to their superior.  Well the phone rang and rang, no answer.  BLOCKED.  If the IRS should wish to speak to you they send letters.  No do robo calls.

I received 2 calls from this number today - they left a recorded voicemail twice.  I called back after the second call and a man with a foreign accent answered saying he was with the FBI.  I told him that I knew it was a scam and not to call me anymore.  Then I hung up and blocked the number.

Same thing just happened to me. Recorded message said IRS and not to disregard the message. Called back and rang and rand. I blocked the number.

Two robocall voicemails from Officer Niki Johnson - Internal Revenue Service. I called back and got Officer Spencer who asked for my name. As soon as I said, "First I need to verify that this is the IRS" they hung up.

Same thing happened to me. They called twice. Definitely a scam!

Same call, same number.  Called back.  Told I was being charged with 3 federal crimes and in two hours they would be issuing a suppina for arrest.  I will be jailed.  Needed to pay by credit card - $5,583.62 for tax errors made in 2008, now and they could stop the charges.
Umm Hummm.  Right.

Same thing happened to me today but I one upped them. They first asked for my social and I told them I would only give last four digits they hung up. I then called back gave them a false name and social then they said thank you very much. I called back same name but have different info and same thing I copied the info from a movie jokes on them😀

THIS IS A SCAM, they probably are fishing for Social Security numbers. I answered a call from this number and it is a voice recording from the IRS and that I need to call back.  I call back and some guy answers and states this is the IRS, I said I don't think so and asked for his name. He promptly hung up on me.  When I call from a landline there is no answer.

The "agent" ( sounded like he was from Mumbai) who called me had my old address from 10 years ago and  I have moved and filed returns from 4 different addresses since then. Told me I would loose my drivers liscense and have all property and credit card seized, that I was going to court and I would have to keep money on hand to bail my self out.  The guy was such a nimrod! when I told him to send a demand letter to the address on file, he said OK then hung up.

This number called and left a message twice that stated it was a Nicky Johnson from the IRS and although I knew it must be a scam, I called back.  Someone who spoke broken English asked my name and then my address and told me to call back tomorrow.  Did not ask for SS number. Should have looked here first......

Received a call this morning from Nicky (or Micky) Johnson from the IRS... The message stated it was urgent I call back before further action was taken.  Know it is a scam as the IRS does not call tax payers.....

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

If you get what you suspect is a scam call, report it to TIGTA through its Web site or call 800-366-4484.

Recorded message stating that it is time sensitive.  From Internal Revenue Service "Nikki Johnson" or "Olivia Johnson"  very garbled and hard to understand.  Threatens to take action against receiver if they do not return call to 809-854-4999.  Also this call depleted my cell phone battery and was not able to use when I needed, such as being trapped in a flood zone. Extremely dangerous people tapping into personal computer and cell phones.  Also noticed human vultures on top of me.

I received a robo call from  209-854-4999 from a Mickey Johnson stating he was from the IRS.  The message stated it was urgent I call back before further action was taken. I blocked the number.

These guys are claim to be "officers" and are definitely from another country. The one that spoke with me was "Office Jonathan Davis" stating he was from the IRS and that there was a lawsuit being filed against me. Originally they called and left a message that it was urgent. I called back and a gal answered saying they made a mistake. They called again! Tried calling back after 5pm (CST). No answer. Called this morning and spoke with this "officer" and he was a total a$$!! After speaking with him for a little bit, then him saying he could barely hear me and to call back ASAP, I told him it wouldn't be til after tomorrow. He hung up! Called back and another "officer" answered, explained what was going on and his response was "we're sending someone to arrest you!" I hung up! These people need to F**K OFF and stop wasting our time!
