This Collection Agency claims to be collectiing a 15 year old income tax liabilty for the state of Virginia.

My husband and I received a call from an almost identical number.  209-858-3653 and they claimed to be a collection agency and claimed that we owed the State of VA thousands of dollars.

We received a phone call from this "collection agency" claiming that we owed the State of VA thousands of dollars in taxes.  They threatened to take wages and other things if we didn't pay right away.

* Beware * An apparent scam to obtain personal info. Female caller insisted on speaking with a certain individual (they asked for a full name & mid. initial), claims they are in Ca. looking for this person. When questioned what this pertained to; caller got very agitated and demanded to speak with this person. Female caller stated this was a very important matter and it's imperative they speak. Again she was questioned what this was about, caller refused any info., except how important this situation was. Laughingly told her hold on, let me give you my pin # & credit card #,.. she hung up. We are in Coastal S.C. & have never heard of this person. If ya'll get this call, hang up & report them.

Hi Kathy, Seems this whole thing is BS,.. They are looking for personal info. Report them to the FCC @ fcc.gov and execute the Complaint at the bottom of the web page. Last time we looked, these calls are illegal,.. gc

JUST KEEP ASKING THEM QUESTIONS AND DONT EVEN PAY ANY ATTN TO THEIRS!

I saw the number on my caller ID. I generally don't answer calls from unknown numbers and I'm glad that I didn't. Something told me to check out the number on the internet. I'm glad that I went with my gut instinct.

Caller gave name as Daniella from California and requested to speak to a neighbor -- she gave his name.  I asked how she got my phone number and she said: internet, phone book. (I checked later and could not draw up my address this way myself, via my neighbor's name and street address)  She asked me to deliver a message to the neighbor ("Since I'm in California and I can't go over there") but she seemed more interested in irrelevant details about me ("oh you haven't seen the neighbor b/c you've recently been on vacation -- where?" of course, I didn't mention where!)  I refused to deliver the message to the neighbor and hung up.

They called me last night asking about a former neighbor.  I told them she didn't live there anymore because she had been foreclosed.  They asked me if I knew how to get in touch with the person and I told them no.  That was it.

I got a call from 209-858-3500 Caller ID: DIVERSIFIED COL, asking for a neighbors phone number.  They knew my last name and address.  I just told them that there was not anyone by that name on our street.  Just made me feel a little uncomfortable.  Now I have the shot gun loaded!

Lady called and asked me if I knew a guy at an address that is close to mine.  I stated no, and then she started asking me if I knew of anyone in my neighborhood who would know this guy?  I told her no.  She then got off the phone with me.

Don't loan cell phones to co-workers.  I loaned my phone to a co-worker to call her mortgage company,they saved it only caller id apparently because now this collection company is calling me. She has defaulted on every bill she has it seems. Now I get to deal with her creditors.....

If you owe pay the debtor directly and avoid these bottom feeders!They are just trying to scam you and get information to use against you later on .They practice illegal practices and often get rude with you in an attemp to scare you as if they could do something.Any information they get like credit card numbers or checking account numbers are abused so don't get scammed !!!

My fiancee got a phone call from a lady named "Julie" today asking for me We have no connection no shared bills, no shared address, or shared phone numbers.  She persisted in asking for my phone number and became upset when He refused but would offer to have me call her.  I called the number back and you have to enter your social security number to speak to anyone. Obviously this is not happening.  But think its wrong that these people call anyone to get your number.

I did not answer - call came in on my cell - new cell, less than 2 weeks old.  They did not leave a voicemail message but left text message with number 209-858-3565.

No clue who they are or what they want.  No intention in calling them either.
