got a call from this number w/o leaving a message

no message!

This shows Foundation for American Vets, likely a charity. No message.

They call several times a day and even at night.  People have to get up early and I for one do not appreciate calls at 9pm when I am sound asleep.  They are not considerate of others.  I have left a message and asked them not to call again, because of their inconsiderate manner I would never donate to them.

Caller ID says: Found Amer Vets - no message left

same as others, calls every day, no message.  If you want something leave a message!

Just another SCAM looking for your credit card information

Called 6/18/16 at 10: 53. Caller ID showed "Found Amer Vets". My phone answered by Sentry robo call blocker which advises that we do not accept calls from telemarketers, to remove our number from their call list, or press 0 to leave message. No message left. Am on Federal DNC list and also have an unlisted number. Here is a link to a good explanation of this being a company which is hired to solicit for many charities, unfortunately taking a good chunk of your donation in the process.

a computer saying it's regarding veterans then said goodbye then said oops I drooped my phone. When I said computer it aid it'll put me on the do not call list.

Missed the call; no message left.

On the third call today I decided to answer to try to get them to quit calling me. It sounded like a real person on the phone but due to the delay in responding to my responses I think this is an automated system that does not know the meaning of the word NO.

"  And I've found out  that, generally, those fundraisers are mainly raising money to pay themselves.

It's a scam. Legitimate veteran organizations never solicit by telephone. I contribute to  Veterans of Foreign Wars and a disabled veterans organization and they solicit only by mail.

Thanks for the link, which certainly provides some good information on this so-called "charity."  Horrifying to know that 6-11% of the donation actually is put to good use.  Just think, over $5 million a year, tax free... with only half a mil going to veterans.  That's Awful!

Yes, I too just got a call from 209-898-0534.

If I were lucky enough to get a card from them that included their address, they'd get a certified explanation of my fee structure for fielding their calls that would discourage further contact.

And if the donation envelope included postage paid by addressee, I might even succumb to the temptation to add a Ziploc bag with just a tiny bit of wet sand to their first class postage....  ;)

Wow, those stinkers just called again... before I'm even done researching them and writing this post!!!!  By the next call my outgoing message will be altered to include surveys and charities among those to not call again.  Legal notice.

Long delay before agent  came on line = predictive dialer. Asked for "Josephine". Fast talker, very pushy. Thought at first was one of those 'bots that mimics conversation.  When he repeated a question I kept saying "pancakes?" until he chuckled, so maybe human.

Was probably the same scam charity scam as the other posts here, I was too annoyed to keep track. Blocked.

They have called at least 4 or 5 times today...I do not appreciate my Sunday's interrupted even if I ignore the calls. Never ever consider donating to this scam outfit. Never.

"  FOUND AMER VETS"  I've never heard of this charity!  My Father, Grandfather and husband are all veterans  and they've never heard of it or read anything either and they receive information all the time and are all involved in veteran's affairs.
