Caller in broken English stated they are calling from Southwest Airlines and want to give me a free trip.  The first call was to make an appointment in my town to go to an address (I was given the impression it was an office of Southwest Airlines) with my husband.  I did not make the appointment but told them to call back.  They have called back three times at inconvenient times.  They keep asking when they can call back. The background noise is loud sounds like a call center.  When I asked where this "office" was they stated a local street name and said the business name was "VIP Travel".  I have researched this number and business name without finding any information on them. I'm so sorry I stayed on the line and gave them the impression I was interested, now they won't leave me alone. I have no idea what the scam is but I do think it's a scam of some sort.

Calls at least once or twice a week. I do not answer, they leave no message.

Called tonight (Sunday!) and left no message.  

NEVER answer a call that has the exchange prefix starting with "0" or "1".  So, although 210 is a valid area code for Texas, real phone numbers require the exchange (the next three digits beyond the area code) to start with 2-9 in the North American Numbering Plan Administration area (NANPA) which is the U.S. and Canada.  So, 210-123-xxxx, 512-098-xxxx, 972-145-xxxx are ALL spoofed. (also 123-4567???... come on!)  

If they have to resort to faking their phone number, you do NOT want to do business with them.

Received called woman with oriental accent....lots of background noise...from 210-123-4567.....I hung up....

Southwest Airlines Calling. I said I was on the do not call list. Plese take my name off and do not call back, Thisa was on Sunday afternoon.

Called to offer me two free airline tickets. I asked where he was calling from, and he said he was in Modesto (near me). I asked why he had a 210 area code. He hung up.

They call person has heavy accent then they hang up.   They only call at night

If you call the number a recording says it is not valid!
They called me and said I could not be single. Some free trip anywhere with southwest airlines this weekend!

On Sunday afternoon, said "looking for.." and used my name.  Foreign accent identified as some type of "Excursion" business.  They have our names and telephone numbers and we have no way to reach them or get the true identity. There should be laws to protect private citizens from these scam artists.

There are laws  but It's impossible to protect people against these types of crimes....before they happen.  
No one can predict when an unknown person is going to dial a number half way around the world and attempt to skin them. Crime has become so sophisticated that regular law enforcement is not able to physically or financially stay on top of it,   especially on a world wide stage.

Caller knew my name, identified herself as calling from La Quinta Livermore to invite me to their grand opening. Gave me a bunch of too good to be true deals.  She then asked if I am married. Sounds like they are collecting personal information.
By the way, La Quinta Livermore has been in business for 8 years.

These weirdos called three times in a row and left no message. Not falling for their scheme.

Called and said they were from the Hyatt hotel and that I won something.  Told them I wasn't interested.

The call came in as "no name given" and then the very obvious phone #.  Did not answer - no one has that kid if number.  Left no message.

Called but then hung up.
I would talk with them until they hang up.
They stop calling faster, and leave me alone

Rec'd call from 210-123-4567. We usually let unknown callers first go to VM and after I've researched the number, we block it when I confirm it's not something we want to answer.  While I hadn't yet looked closely at the number, I saw "Name not Found" and decided to send them the message that I did not want to talk with them, without talking with them. So I disconnected. Then I noticed that the number was clearly spoofed.

We have noted with the recent arrest of  fake debt collector William Scott  & Assoc. scumbags, the fake debt collector calls had disappeared.

This number will go into our call blocker today.

I received several calls from this number, yesterday at 1:30 AM. Scared the living hell out of me. You know...when you have children, every phone call...you wonder.
