Disabled Veterans of America.  The caller left a message on our machine saying they were going to be in the area collecting donations.

Voice message from DAV doing collections in our area...how do they know what "area" they are calling? Googled this number, which comes up as Jalpa Mexican Restaurant on Culebra Road in San Antonio, Texas. Doesn't sound too legitimate to us. Possible scam?

Called my home phone but didn't leave a message.  Caller I.D. was same as others have posted:  "DAV CDSI".  Thanks to Theresa and Anon in SATX for the information.  I don't know if it's a scam or not, but as a matter of practice, I don't do ANY business with folks who use "telemarketing".

Got a call today from this number...an unknown person, calling strangers randomly, looking for donations over a telephone...what could possibly be wrong with this scenario. Lol

I got a call from this number, googled it as I did not know what DAV CDSI was.  Google has it listed as a Mexican restaurant in San Antonio.  However, that restaurant is no longer open; it has been closed for over a year.  It my not be a scam, just not a new phone number for the Disabled Veterans.

Called and would not speak when I answered.

The DAV in SA, Tx uses volunteers to ask for clothing donations, using their own numbers, so the numbers varies.
Unless one calls back immediately, the volunteer may not answer a call.  We donate clothing and the pickup is scheduled.
If the pickup needs to be changed by the donor, it is difficult to contact a volunteer to make the change because of the
use of volunteers.  Hope this helps.

It's a legit company.....been making donations for several years.  They come & pick up any donations.

Legit non-profit that collects clothing donations for Disable American Veterans (DAV).  They will call you again if you (or you have someone's old number) to ask if you have anything else to donate.  We give when we can and if not we just tell them we have nothing.  Never had a problem with them and they are very professional.  Safe to answer the call and/or to donate.

Got a call from this number also yesterday on my home but I didn't answer as usual and they left no message I get all these of the wall calls everyday with a different number I never answer I screen my calls and they never leave a message just hang up  very annoying

Have been getting almost daily calls either at 5 pm or 5:30 range...I don't answer and they leave no message.  Very annoying.  I am on "do not call list".  Do not live in San Antonio.

Why would a charity call from a restaurant? I don't trust it. I have gotten calls from veterans organizations but never from a business. I wonder if it is actually an employee or someone is spoofing the number?

Second call (Sept) from 210 248 9063 with caller ID of DAV CSDI as someone else pointed out the number seems to belong to now closed Mexican Restaurant. Time to block that fellow.

Got a call did not answer but the number 210-248-9063 does not belong to DAV, this number belongs to a restaurant  in San Antonio,TX.  Why is the caller using this number and mask it as DAV maybe so you don't call back. Maybe it's DAV using this number so you don't call them back and they don't get flooded with calls. Who knows!

I've found that the do not call list is worthless. I get calls from this number daily, but no one ever answers.
