- Anon| 1 replyJust had a call from "Rodney Watson" From Nationwide Private Search.
He said he needed me to relay a message to a person, where there is a complaint filed against him. He told me to write down a 877 number as well as a reference number, and that it was very important that I relay the message.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - SharonThis idiot just called me asked me about a former step-dad. I told him to leave me alone and never call me again! He did!!!! What a stupid person.

- JonesI received a call yesterday similar to the other post. It was from a San Antonio, TX number. The person said that I was being summoned and for me to call a 1-877 number with the reference number he gave for more information. The scary thing is, I called the 1-877 number and gave them the reference number. These people had my full social, current and previous addresses. They said I owed money from 1997-2006 and I was being summoned by Sprint to appear in court. He then tried to get me to settle out with a lesser payment over the phone or set up payments to clear the debt. Of course I didn't give him my financial information, but I believe it is a scam that needs to be rectified.

So I called them back again and again. Told them I would continue to call them so the last time I called I got Magic Jack and it said it couldn't take my call. I think they blocked me. Hooray.

- ZachI received a call from this number today, stating I owe Verizon from 2004-2007. Chris H gave me a toll-free number to call back, but my wife and I decided to call Verizon (wireless and residential) and find out if I did indeed owe anything. Since I don't owe them anything, I'll be reporting this to my local FBI field office and putting a freeze on my credit.

- IrritatedJust got a call from a woman at phone number 210-485-4595 stating that legal action was being taken against me and I need to get a pen and paper to write down the reference number. She didn't identify herself or the company she was working for. I asked what this was regarding and she said she didn't have that information, then the phone magically disconnected. I called back a moment later and a guy answered with "hello?". Seems totally legit. (heavy sarcasm)

2nd#- I told the lady (calling for my ex) that I already knew it was a fraud and she got verbally mouthy.
When calling these numbers back they cuss and threaten the law. Then 10 minutes later a generic message from the makers of Magic Jack comes on, pitching a sales line of how magic jack allows you to make free calls and where to pick up your Magic Jack today.- Caller: Nation Wide Service SCAM COMP
