has now called me twice.

Claimed to be a 'Survey' from a company I do business with.

It's just new class of telemarketers.  I'm going to chew out the company that gave them my  number.

They are just telemarketers all over again - this kind of harassment should never be tolerated.  

My question is, in 2007 how big of a loser do you have to be to be working as a telemarketer?

I got a call from 210-507-4450 on my cell phone.
I didn't answer it.
The caller didn't leave a message.
I started getting a bunch of junk telemarketer phone calls ever since I gave my phone number to Global Services, Inc. a few months ago.
I never got any junk calls before then, and my number is unlisted.

Following up on my above post:
210-507-4450 just called back again today.
When I answered, they said they were "Galilee Research" and that they were "conducting a survey" for [a certain organization of which I'm a member].
(So, this particular junk call may not be the fault of Global Services, Inc.)
I told them never to call again.

It's a legitimate research company in San Antonia Texas.

Called 11/01/07 at 7:28 p.m.  Unsolicited research call from Galloway Research.  I said I wasn't interested in taking any survey and not to call again.

Called first on 11/08/07 and again on 12/14/07; received on my cell phone; did not answer; no message left; subsequent phone call received from 210-734-4346 (same area code) on 12-17-07; again did not answer and no message left.

They call me 2-3 times a day.  I have politely and, also, rudely told them not to call.  Tonight I had my spouse answer the phone.  If his mother were still alive she would have used 2 bars of soap on him but it will be interesting to see if they call again.

Called my work today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. If this company were legitimate, why did they not leave a message? Since I am on the "do not call list", shut them down!

Called once; no message left.

If they call again I'll have a little fun. ;)

Called my cell phone once each on 6/3/08 and 6/4/08 around 7:30 p.m. PST. Did not leave a message. I haven't received any calls from this number since then, but I'll be heading back over to www.donotcall.gov shortly...

Unwanted call and I am on  the so called Do Not Call List! I think these companies are finding out just exactly who they are contacting by us reporting these annoying phone calls.

They're not telemarketers.  They conduct telephone and in-person surveys and actually pay you money sometimes to participate.  

Actually, they're not even allowed to sell anything.

yeah they are a market research company in san antonio. I like to take the calls as they usually pay  people pretty well to attend discussion groups.

actually the do not call list does not apply to them as they are not telemarketers.  They don't sell anything and they actually usually pay you for your time.

this is for galloway research...i did a survey for them several months ago. you went in for about 3 hours and got paid $$$ to listen to local radio stations...they are not telemarketers....you should try it...it was fun...lot's of ghetto people there though...take your camera phone...lulz.

As a market research interviewer - we do not sell a thing - we are NOT telemarketers.   We do not leave messages many times as this would impact the randomness of our selection.  

Many times we are calling because some product or service you use would like your opinion.   This can be done by phone or by in person research such as a focus group.   And Yes, your opinions are valuable.   Many times a research company  will  reward you with $$$.
