Received text said urgent. Called the number back and it said Bank of America. And that somebody was using my card. Don't have a card with Bank of America. And the recording wanted my card number.

Happened to me just a moment ago. 8.30.12 I also dont have a BOA card.  It was sent as an "urgent sprint number".

My wife just texted me. Same thing. Text to her said B.O.A. please call urgent from sprint.com. We don't have BOA either. Told her it was a scam and to delete it.

Received a text stating "Subject: BOA" and to please call that number.

same as others - someone wanting to steal debit card info - Beware!

I contacted Bank of America about this.  They don't care.  I wasted an hour trying to report fraudulent activity and they just really don't care.

I received a text today and a different text yesterday. The one yesterday said that my debit card had been limited and please call......... I ignored it.   Today i received text with a link to info@bankofamerica.com  Please contact 2105278888. I'm ignoring it also

I got a message yesterday via phone and today via text. I called the bank yesterday. I agree...they don't seem at all concerned. I plan on contacting a local branch Tuesday, since this is a local number for me.

I got the exact same thing. The really strange thing for me was that the call came through yesterday just as I was setting up mobile banking with BoA...they SWEAR it was just a conincidence and that there is no way some scammer could know I was setting up that account.

Just woke up and saw the text...seemed strange...said call boa with that number...there was no answer though

I have been receiving texts for the last few weeks. Today it told me to call 2105278888. The one from a few days ago said, Urgent.PleasecallBankOfAmerica@1-973-881-8000. Has to be a scam. I also received a text from Generation FCU, I don't know if they are affiliated with BOA, but they said they had to unlock my account and to call 314228325, which isn't even a complete number. Be aware of all these numbers.

Just got the call.  I put in a fake number and it then asked my exp date and again put in a fake number.  Then it asked for my pin.  I put a fake one in and it then said thanks and I'm ok.  I hope sobody falls for this.  I called BOA and they didn't give a crap about it.  No sense of urgency.

Just received the same text as others - glad I did a minute of research & came across this site. Thought it was a scam.

Been receiving calls and texts from all of these in the past month! My sister has too, she gave them her info without thinking and before we did this research. Needless to say, she canceled her credit card and took most of her money out of that account. Complete fraud!! Do not fall for these!!

Someone in Europe is trying to mess with your card. Fraud.

Just got the same text message. I got online with a customer service rep. He told me to report it to abuse@bankofamerica.com

I have been a BOA customer for years. It is a coincidence that your phone got the urgent text. The crooks that pull this scam just get a list of numbers from a computer generated list and they will get a few card numbers. Luckily BOA will reimburse you should they start buying things.
