caller said they were from veterans alliance center - i stopped them right there and asked how they got my number...said the computer popped up my number...my number is unlisted & my veteran status is also confidential

This is Alliance collection agency.

They say they were texas state attorney office and I had outstanding warrants.  They want me to pay them now or I will go to jail.

Caller said they were from veterans alliance center - I hung up before they could say anything else.  Scam.

Deceptive Telemarketer. The caller said she was with Veterans Alliance Service, and seemed to purport affiliation with the VA. Of course, the caller had to ask me Qs about my veteran status and whether or not I have a VA loan. I called the caller a liar repeatedly, yet she continued to deny it and kept on script. Once I grew tired of playing, I hung up and call-blocked the number. Gov't should go after these scumbags, and the growing wave of scumbag marketers on TV/phone/email who are trying to screw U.S. veterans and seniors. They're almost as bad as the Jamaican lottery scammers and the Prince from Nigeria who keeps sending me emails with offers of riches :-). Anyone want to buy gold or a reverse mortgage?  Ha ha.
