caller hung up as soon as they heard my answering machine pick up. this is the first call I have received from this number

Caller didn't identify themselves. Hung up on the answering machine.

Called a few times, never leaves a message. Spam?

recording, collecting for state troopers or some such; called both of my business lines simultaneously!!

rang 4 times and hung up.

Repeated calls. You should not answer. I did accidentally. This has to be a scam. I felt like I was being threatened by the caller. They should be put out of business. Said they were collection for some type of police organization. I am confident they are scammers. Something about the "contribution" was not tax deductible. That part was really strange. I should have hung up immediately!
