These people have been calling for months. They never leave a message, but when I answer sometimes they play a recording saying that they are Metro News. This is their website: http://www.metro-news.com
Simple solution...do what I just did and call the number back during business hours and ask to be removed from their call list. This company, Metro News, handles sales for newspapers all over the country (I am in Baltimore)...I rudely asked why they had called every day for the past month and half without leaving messages or answering when I said hello and got that song and dance.
They called me 9 times today while we were at work- ne message. I called the number back and got a recording for Metro News. I held on the line and phone kept ringing and ringing. Nobody picked up.
I received a call today with no one there when I answered. I called back, it was answered by a live person and I asked my number be removed. Hopefully this will solve it.
I'm getting the same thing too! They've called me 13 times in the past 6 days. They do not ever leave a message. At this point I'm not even answering when I see them on caller ID.
UPDATE. I finally caught them today and answered. They are selling the Tampa Tribune newspaper and wanted me to become a subscriber. Like I'm going to subscribe to someone who has called and hung up SO many times! Hopefully... now that I told them I subscribe to their competitor, they won't call again. Geesh! Unlike the company name and link give above, mine was for: http://www.tampatrib.com/
It's a wireless call being made, so hopefully they'll have one heck of a bill and stop soliciting!
Came home today to a message on my answering machine, "Hey, what are you doing tonight?" I didn't recognize the voice, most of my friends would call my cell phone anyhow and then have the decency to tell me who they were when leaving a message too. I checked caller ID, and this is the number that shows up for the time the message was left.
They call almost every night for the last several weeks. I dont even have a phone connected to the line, but if Im watching Tv the number shows up b/c I have cable and digital phone service. Very annoying.
Possibly coming from inside a prison. Probably want your credit card number. Same thing out of Dallas/Plano TX area. 210 is in the San Antonio area. Very aggressive.

Metro News Service calls everyday non stop. My Vonage bill has been hit for 30 minutes from these people so far. Good luck trying to get them to stop. The Dallas Morning News pays Metro News Service to stalk people over the telephone.
Have gotten 3 or 4 calls from this same number (1-210-587-2222), I answered once with no response. The rest went to v/m with no msg. I live in Dallas, understanding this is a Baxor county area code (KTA), were you suggesting a link with this exact number having inmates from the D/FW area re-routing through it some how?
I was wondering if you could forward this on for posting. I got a phone call from that number, and my caller id said it was coming out of san antonio, tx. Hope this helps you guys track these people down

Just called 1-800-950-8475 number from Jimmy (thanks!!) and the woman who answered acknowledged what he said and agreed to remove my Dallas cell phone number from their calling list. Hopefully the calls will stop.
