The "Cash America" shills continue to post their lies on 800notes, in spite of the warnings from both the real Cash America and government sites.

Just rec. call from this number telling me that they worked for the IRS and that I owed $2,000 in back taxes.  I told them they were full of it and hung up.  They called be back four times telling me that they were calling from the main office in Washington DC.  I informed them they were being recorded and that I work for the government.  They hung up and that was a wrap.  They were Korean

A Mentally disabled friend of mine received several phone calls from this number.  The caller told her that his name was David Hoffman & that he was a federal investigator with the IRS & that she owed $$$ to them.  He stated that he would come to her house and arrest her if she didn't pay the money within 48 hours.  I called him back.  He answered immediately with IRS.  He didn't sound like a native USA English speaker.  I asked for David Hoffman.  He said he was David.  I asked for how much she owed & how to send it.  He told me that he felt sorry for her & wants her to come live with him.  I said she was very upset & that I was trying to help her & to give me the address of where he was located.  He provided the address for filing your tax return for Austin, TX (same area code.)  Based upon these facts & his mannerisms, there's no doubt in my mind that this was not legitimate.

I got an email saying David Hoffman an IRS agent needed to speak with me, so I called the number and he could barely speak English and he said he got an afadvit stating I commuted IRS fraud and I needed to pay $6000. I told him I would have my attorney contact him and he screamed at me NO you need to fix this now or you are going to be picked up in 45 min. I hung up, so he left me a message saying I couldn't hang up on him but not to worry about him because the law was coming to get me in 45 min. Then I got another phone call and it sounded just like the guy I talked to earlier, but different number and he said he was the Montgomery police station. I hung up and called my counties police department and they said its a scam and they have had several reports already.
