called at 5 AM claiming to be from First Financial and that there has been some unusual activity on your card and it is being suspended.  They want you to answer by pressing the number "1" on your phone.  I looked up the phone number on my caller ID and it is a residential number in San Antonio, Tx

Call to my cell had a recorded (or voice-synthesized) message claiming to be Sun Trust Bank. Obvious phishing. I hung up without further interaction.

I got the same call claiming to be Sun Trust.  I don't have any business with that bank and knew immediately it was a scam.

I , too, got a synthesized voice message from Sun Trust on my cell phone  Asked me to press 1 for their security dept. since something was amiss with my credit card. Have no business connection w/ them, realized it was a phishing scam and hung up. Do not want to be repeatedly tormented by them, particulalry on my cell.

Got a call just after 7 am on a Saturday morning. It was to my work cell phone which is a Government phone that is privately registered. The only people that have this number are within my Agency. There was no answer and no message.

Call on cell came in at 7:48 AM this morning.  I missed the call.  Didn't recognize the number, did not try to call back.  Googled the number and ended up here.  Thanks for your info.

Got a call from whoever the [***] is that's trying to scam money out of people at about 10:50 this morning. My phone's gov't issued, just like a previous post - nobody has the number except my employer. Somebody's using an automated dialer with something to check/log card numbers from people that are dumb enough to actually enter their information. Automated recording claimed to be from SunTrust Bank.
    • Caller: Fraudulent... Phishing scam

recieved a call last night re: SunTrust Mastercard being frozen, press one.  Did not.  Then my 13 year old recieved the same call and we laughed at the an obvious scam.  What I don't understand how they profit from the people that press one and get disconnected.
    • Caller: SunTrust Mastercard`
