I received a call from this company wanting to update my Google Listing (they are not connected to Google)  I asked for their company name and I was told it was Lexington Group.  I never give my cell as my company number because we have landlines for such.  So I said this is my cell and I don't have any company connected to this number and they immediately hung up.

The usual telemarket call.  You hear the background sounds like a basement call center. Hung up.

Called and said out Google Listing is 50% complete and out dated. Well that's a lie as the page is verified since 2012 and is 100% with current information and a Google virtual tour by Biz360Tours a Google Certified company ( verified on the Google website).

I answered - I heard nothing for about 10 seconds and I finally hung up. Added the number to my cell phone's blocked callers

the people that have this # broke the law, they should be arrested because they called a # on the no call list HA HA

This criminal needs to be caught, have their hands chopped off & put in prison where they are not allowed to make any phone calls because they are making scam calls now.
I just filed a complaint on this criminal to the Federal Trade Commission for Investigation.

When I answered this call, they hung up.  I called the number back and an automated voice said to press any number to be removed from the call list.

This call was from Google, trying to validate my phone number as a business line so that they can market it.

Everytime I post on Craigs List one of thse companies calls  This time it was"Tom" from the Lexington Group who said the web site affiliated with this phone number could be updated in Google and Google Plus. I told him his compny was not affilliated with Google and he told me to look it up. So I did, her on 800 notes. When I read the notes I told him that his company was owned by a [***] tard and the reviews said the employees were a bunch of [***] clowns. He hung up.

What "appears" to end this nonsense, from ANY number, is: After 3 rings, I pick up the phone, and say nothing. It clicks off in about 5 seconds and, as far as I can tell, I don't see any more calls from those numbers.  Maybe a computer interprets my number as a dud. I don't know for certain; but try it.

Dude called me and I told him he should shoot himself. It was great, he kept telling me that he was not a fraud. You can get a Google listing page for free. I love telemarketers, they are fun to screw with.

I would pay real money to catch these people. However, as long as the phone companies / governments allow spoofing of numbers displayed on our caller ID boxes there is no chance in ever finding them.

got a call from (210) 819-4651. Said it was Christopher with Google calling to verify my business listing.  I asked 3 times and he verifies each time that he worked for Google. When I asked what his email address is, he started fumbling, got nervous and eventually hung up. said his email is christpher.s@gmail.com but I doubt it.

We also just received this hangup call.  Problem is, unsolicited calls are not illegal when calling BUSINESS phones.
For everyone else, maybe this suggestion is appropriate: 1. Locate the caller (I know, I know, who the h*ll wants to go to India?!), 2. Chop off 1 finger (of the owner) for each complaint logged in at 800notes, 3. for additional complaints exceeding 10 complaints, randomly select his employees and chop off 1 finger from any of them, for any additional complaints.  Before you know it, none of them will have any fingers left to dial out.  If you agree, give 'em the finger!

"Update your Google Listing" scam. These turdcaskets work for sleazy SEO promoters offering essentially worthless services at high prices. Stay away from them.
