- Mel| 4 repliesChristopher Mills from Pretrial Intervention. No success with look up. Doesn't sound like machine recording and he actually speaks english.
Any help with this one? - Slim replies to Mel| 1 reply>> Pretrial Intervention. <<
Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process. They will deliver the notification without warning.
Also, if you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam
"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."
"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court." - Sam| 1 replyReceived a call from this phone number 210-852-2860 stating they were with pretrail litigation services stating that I had a payday loan from 2011 that wasnt paid and they would be forwarding info to an attorney in my town... they were unable to give me the amount of the loan or when it was deposited stating that it was from a company called advance america .net.. the guys name was Richard klein...anyone else get this?

- Slim replies to SamThe Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

- Dismissed!!!!| 6 repliesThey called my fiancé and I today as well saying the same exact thing they told Sam but couldn't give us any information about what "loan" we took out and said now my fiancé has 4 felonys pending on him unless we sent them 500 dollars immediately. Little did they know my father is SAPD and I gave him the number had he called back and the whole process and the way that "Christopher Mills" was explaining things to my dad made no sense and he wasnt even handling like a real debt collector is supposed to. Basically this is a fraud company tryin to call and scare people into sending immediate cash to them, but the issue is being taken care of as we speak and the detective has been notified and police reports are being made. Ignore them when they call you with the threats and extra bs because its definitely fraud

- Roxy replies to Mel| 1 replyI just got a call this afternoon from the same number and they said that they are submitting my paperwork to my state attorney's office because of a debt i owed in 2012. They wouldn't tell me exactly what pay advance company it was (i actually did use 2 companies back then and though the loans were paid). They told me that their client is filing paperwork today for a warrant for my arrest and that i didn't have sufficient funds in my checking account when they tried to withdraw the money. They said that it is going to be a criminal case. They TOLD ME my drivers license number, make & model of my car and that my car is also going to get repoed. I was freaking out and asked what i need to do to settle this issue and they said that i originally owed a balance of $400 but i will need to pay $1,243 over he phone. i continued to ask for them to fax me paperwork because they said they tried to reach me several times. They then hung up on me. I called back and asked for a different person and spoke to "Richard". He rambled the same thing and then i asked for their address because i need to get my attorney involved. Because i was upset (not yelling but in a freaked out voice), he said that he won't give out their address because he is in fear for the office personnel's lives the way that i'm speaking to him on the phone. I then said in a very calm voice. O.k. I'm calm so just give me your address so i can give this info to my attorney and said that he is going to hang up on me because i'm being difficult and they already processed the paperwork to have me arrested.
- Roxy replies to Dismissed!!!!They also wouldn't send me any info. They said word for word "we're not your bookeeper, you should have the records".
- Peter Metro replies to Slim210-852-2860 keeps calling and sayong they have two felony warrants against me and habeus corpus and affidavit and other legal terms.Police and FBI will be notified. its a scam out of san antonio texas.
- Glenda HuffsticklerTalked with a woman not a lady for sure. Said I had charges against me from payday loan. Never done that. They had my address but would not send info. I told her to mail info to me why I called the police and give them the number. She hung up.

- kmp replies to Dismissed!!!!| 4 repliesAre you positive this is bs? I am asking because they are calling me non-stop; the Caller ID reads Litigation Svc and it was Christopher Mills that left the message, but when I attempted to research them on line there was not any info. The messages have not told me any info about why they are calling - just pending court case, and when I attempted to reach them there was no answer. I did have a payday loan in 2010 and then lost my job, but that has been paid in the intervening time frame. Also, in California it is clearly stated that the company CANNOT pursue criminal charges for any returned check in a payday loan situation. I just get so nervous when they begin talking about court cases and charges pending. I am licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services for my professional license and charges like this would end my career. If possible, could you update us on the information you may have received from SAPD? Thanks for your help!
- JN| 2 repliesThis company or should I say scam is a bunch of BULSHIT. These scammers called my daughter saying that the cops were coming to my home today to arrest her. She has to spend 120 days in jail and theres a bench warrant for her. It scared her, I called them myself to say that she NEVER took out a payday loan, this mother fu(*er told me I was a liar. To pay $1000 now to settle it why would I do that over something I never took out. I googled this number and saw all these posts about these scammers.
I then called back the scammer and told him "the FBI was coming to get him" He called my daughter saying "Theryre coming to break her legs", this is kind of scary because they knew our address.
So now I going to the police station to file a report.- Caller: 210-852-2860
- ArmandoA PERSON KEEPS CALLING ME AND SAYING THAT THERE IS A PENDING TRIAL AND A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST. This is insane that these type of calls continue disturbing peoples life. I don not know the company or place they are calling from but only the phone number.

Please read my earlier posts in this thread, to put yourself more at ease. - KD replies to kmpPlease don't be worried about this!! IT IS A SCAM!!!! On 6/23 I rec'd a call from a Kevin Brooks from pretrial intervention ph: 210-960-9011. I rec'd several messages and finally one day I answered. Got a complete run he refused to tell me his name or where he was calling from so I hung up. Within seconds I rec'd another call from 210-762-5987 on the message (a different "gentleman" was asking me how they would know who I was when I was calling them. He then began to curse and left the message with several swears. If they were a ligitimate collection agency they just blew it!! Anyway just a few minutes ago I get the same message word for word from 210-852-2860 the same voice but now his name is Christopher Mills. Don't even answer. I called Verizon and they will change my phone number for free. You can use the call block feature too but obviously they use several number.
- DMHJR| 2 repliesKeep getting calls saying i am going to be arrested for fraud from a payday loan Co. Is this real or a scam I am worried sick
- Caller: LITIGATION sVC
- youwontbearrestedDefaulting on a payday loan is a breach of contract. It is not fraudulent because payment is post dated. The payment was intended but for whatever reason want made. This is not criminal. They are not going to arrest you. They are not coming to your job or home. A real process server just serves. They don't call to collect. I got this call, did my research and am moving on. If I answer the phone and someone is on the line I will talk, but I won't press any buttons.

- mary| 1 replyI get calls from Mr Mills, and Jessica Outlaw daily, if not multiple times a day. Today they called, and about 1-2 mins later Jessica called, again, but from this # 832-645-7030. Then a few hours later I got a call from their "pretrial division" stating I had waved my right to council and they were taking legal action unless I called them today, but this time the call was from 720-636-8244..... You would think if it was legit, they would leave my NAME, WHO they were calling for, and the same call back number.....

- mary replies to JNYikes! That's creepy that they know your address, and that they threaten violence to your daughter. :(
